Activity 1: Questions for Review.

Instruction: Based on what you have learned, answer the following

questions. Give your best answers!

1.What are values? How are they learned?

Values are the things that a person valued. Values of individuals depends on what they
believe are important in the way they live and work. It determines their priorities in life and
what they consider to be right, wrong, fair, unfair, good or evil. Example includes honesty,
integrity, freedom and many more. Values can also be defined as the ideals or beliefs of a
group of people that are important for determining what is desirable and undesirable for
them. Values can be learned in various ways. People's values are formed and develop over
time through the influences of family, friends, society and life experiences. Values are also
learned through religion.
2.Why values are important?

Values serve as principles that guide our actions. Like a compass, values give our lives
purpose and direction. Whatever is happening in our life, our values can point the way
forward and guide our decision-making. Values are crucial for maintaining our mental health
since they are closely related to our sense of self. Our values are significant since they
contribute on our personal development. Values enable us to anticipate one another's
decisions and prevent miscommunications, annoyance, and mistrust. You can understand
yourself better by reflecting on your values.

3. What are the types of values?

The two types of values are instrumental and terminal values. The ideal end-states of
existence, or the objectives a person would like to accomplish in their lifetime, are known as
terminal values. Examples include a peaceful, joyful, free, and democratic world. The
preferred ways to act or achieve one's terminal values, such as being organized, open-
minded, honest, and logical, are known as instrumental values.
Activity 2: Questions for Review.

Instruction: Based on what you have learned, answer the following

questions. Give your best answers!

1. What are attitudes? What are their main components? Explain briefly

Attitude is the way a person perceives and assesses something or someone. It is also known
as their tendency to react positively or negatively to a particular concept, object, person, or
circumstance. The three components of attitude are cognitive component it is the opinion
or belief segment of an attitude. Affective component, it is the emotional or feeling segment
of an attitude. And behavioral component, it is an intention to behave in a certain way
toward someone or something.

2.How attitudes are formed?

Learning is a process that shapes attitudes. The two main ways that affect attitude are direct
experiences and indirect experiences. Direct experience is where most of the knowledge
that is stored in the human mind comes from and is also where it is most easily accessed.
While indirect experience is the outcome of social contacts with family, peers, religious
institutions, and culture, indirect experience is attitudes that are created in an indirect
manner. Attitudes are developed through observation and imitation of others. We take note
of other people's preferences, decisions, and attitudes regarding various topics.

3. What are the most important attitudes in the workplace?

For me one of the most important attitudes in the workplace are being encouraging and
empathetic since in a workplace, you will really need to work with a team. Also, being
honest, accountable and responsible are important workplace attitudes. Honesty at the
workplace encourages a sense of trust among employees, the company and the community.
To have a harmonious workplace, the workers must have a positive attitude.
Activity 3: Questions for Review.

Instruction: Based on what you have learned, answer the following

questions. Give your best answers!

1. What happens when employees are dissatisfied with their jobs?

Dissatisfied employees can negatively affect a company because they typically lack
motivation, perform poorly and possess negative attitudes. Not only does job dissatisfaction
decrease work performance and morale, it can also negatively impact your bottom line. Job
dissatisfaction can create a toxic work atmosphere. When employees are dissatisfied with
their jobs, they have many absences and they are more likely to quit. Disengaged and
dissatisfied employees may spread negativity, leading to reduced morale among their
colleagues.

2. What factors are associated with jobs satisfaction?

Job satisfaction is influenced by elements such as performance, effort, dedication, and

intention. Furthermore, job satisfaction was most closely related to mental health. This
suggests that the positive component of mental health has a significant positive association
with work satisfaction, whereas the negative component has a strong negative correlation.

3. What are the causes of job satisfaction? Discuss.

Some of the top factors that causes job satisfaction include, recognition and appreciation,
positive relationship with your co-workers, a fair and competitive salary, a reasonable
workload, a good work/life balance and supportive management. Communication also leads
to higher levels of job satisfaction and motivation. Also, employees who feel like they have
opportunities to grow and develop are more likely to be satisfied with their job.
