II. LESSON DEVELOPMENT
A. Presentation of Concept:
The students will know the rules in comparing whole numbers.
The students will be able to compare whole numbers using relational symbols
such as < (less than), > (greater than), and = (equal to).
B. BROADENING OF CONCEPT
1. Group Activity
Each group will be given series of questions on comparing whole numbers.
They will write the appropriate answer if it is > , < , or =.
2. Guided Practice
a. Distribute index cards/sticky notes to each student.
b. Write down three-digit numbers on the board, and have students write the
correct symbol (<,>, or =) between the numbers on their cards.
