SUMMARY
Daniel Nimusiima is an M&E consultant with over 10 years of practical experience in providing
programme/project development, Monitoring and Evaluation consultancy services as well as
organizational capacity assessment and training (OCAT) to a spectrum of organizations and
agencies both in Uganda and on the African continent. Has specifically provided consultancy
services to organizations such as UNDP and the UN in Botswana, Malawi, Ghana, Tanzania,
Ethiopia, Gambia and Uganda, USAID, Irish Aid, KOICA, DGF, Mild may Uganda, Childcare
Worldwide, ANPPCAN (U) Chapter, Child Assist Uganda and Alliance for Child Assist International
in project proposal development, implementation and M&E.
Has worked with several project/programme evaluation teams as a lead or Associate consultant,
data collection supervisor as well as quantitative and qualitative data analyst.
Has successfully executed a series of programmatic research including inter alia; baseline studies,
situational analyses particularly on health and child protection systems in Uganda; mid-term
and terminal evaluations as explicitly indicated in the experience section.
Daniel has since 2009 been conducting short term training courses in project and consultancy
proposal development, report writing and M&E as well as quantitative data analysis using SPSS
organized by REEV Centre for Strategic Studies and EXMA Consult International. The courses
have been designed to equip fresh graduates and other practitioners with more practical skills in
order to enhance their effectiveness and competiveness in the labour market particularly in the
line of M&E and research.
Holds a masters’ degree in Social Sector Planning and Management (SSPM) from Makerere
University; a Post-Graduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation from UMI and a bachelor’s
degree (2nd class upper) in Social Sciences (Social Administration and Gender and Development)
from Makerere University (2004).

I was particularly responsible for progress reporting and
coordination of all preparatory activities such as developing of
data collection tools, selection of enumerators as well as their
training.
March – June 2013 Associate Consultant for NUSAF 2 Citizen Report Card Survey under
the auspices of Office of the Prime Minister executed by REEV
Consult International. Specific roles played include; development
of the winning proposal, inception report writing and
presentation, progress reporting, supervising data collection in
Lango and Acholi sub regions as well as coordinating other teams
in West Nile, Teso, Bukedi and Elgon sub regions. Also supervised
data editing, entry and cleaning as well as taking part in report
writing and presentation to stakeholder.
April – May 2013 Associate Consultant for Documenting Best/Promising Practices for
Strides for
Family Health Project under the auspices of USAID and executed
by Case International Consultants; the assignment involved data
collection and
capturing of video clips that would reflect project impact.
Particular roles played included; technical design of the
project, field supervision, progress reporting and report editing.
Feb-April 2012 Research Associate for the Baseline study on higher education in
Uganda under the auspices of Swedish Embassy, Kampala executed by Case
International consultants. The study aimed at establishing
the technical and structural gaps in the provision of higher
education and Uganda and recommending viable redress
measures. My major tasks in the project was the overall project
design and participation in data collection.
Oct 2012-Jan 2013 Researcher, for Final evaluation of HIPS project
under the28auspices of USAID; executed by
REEV Consult International. The assignment involved
collection of both primary and secondary data in order
to assess the extent to which the project objectives
were achieved and the critical factors for the level of
