Tensile and Shear Bond Strength of Hard and Soft Denture Relining Materials To The Conventional Heat Cured Acrylic Denture Base Resin

This study evaluated the tensile and shear bond strengths of 4 denture relining materials (Mollosil, GC Reline Soft, GC Reline Hard, Ufi Gel Hard) to a conventional heat-cured acrylic denture base resin. 160 acrylic resin cylindrical specimens were prepared and divided into 8 groups of 20 specimens each. The 4 mm centers of the specimens were packed with one of the 4 relining materials and tested for tensile or shear bond strength using a universal testing machine. The study found that Ufi Gel Hard had the highest mean tensile and shear bond strengths, while Mollosil and GC Reline Soft had the lowest values. The bond strengths of the soft reliners were significantly lower than
