BSP ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

S.Y 2022- 2023

Scouting is a fun activity filled with values which is very important part of
a student’s life, and it also develops skills which are also useful to them in their daily lives and
to the community. Moreover, scouting activities in schools offer a holistic approach to
education by complementing academic learning with experiential, character-building
experiences. These activities promote personal growth, social skills, outdoor education, civic
engagement, values, and leadership development. By participating in scouting, students gain
valuable life skills that contribute to their overall development and prepare them to become
responsible, well-rounded individuals in society.
Thus the school had undertaken various scouting activities to provide a platform for the
learners to develop their character traits such as leadership, responsibility, integrity, and
resilience. Efforts were made to actively recruit new members to join the BSP. This initiative
resulted in a significant increase in the number of registered Boy Scouts.
A systematic approach was adopted to plan and organize regular meetings for the Boy
Scouts. A regular meeting schedule was established, ensuring that meetings were held
consistently and efficiently. This provided a platform for scouts to develop their skills, engage in
discussions, and receive guidance from their leaders. The meetings were designed to be
interactive and engaging, incorporating activities that encouraged teamwork, leadership
development, and character building.
A district encampment was successfully organized, bringing together scouts from various
units within the district. The encampment aimed to foster camaraderie, promote teamwork, and
provide scouts with an opportunity to showcase their skills. It involved meticulous planning,
logistical arrangements, and coordination with other scouting units. The district encampment
featured a range of scouting activities including knot-tying challenges, pioneering projects, and
leadership workshops. These activities aimed to develop the scouts' physical fitness, problem-
solving abilities, and teamwork skills. The event received positive feedback and created a
memorable experience for all participants. It was held at Balawag Central School last May
12-14, 2023. It was a three-day camping activity participated by different scouters of
Southern Tabuk District III.
The registration of the scouters happened on the first day at two in
t h e afternoon. Then, all of the Senior Scouts from different schools were hand in hand in
decorating the camp. After that, the scouters took a break for a while as they enjoyed their
dinner and prepared for the evening activity. This was followed by a torch parade at 7:00 P.M.
Afterwards, the program started with a prayer then singing of the national anthem and the
recitition of scout’s Oath and Law. Sir Hener P. Abad gave his inspiring message
and officially opened the encampment activity. Everyone prepared on the next day
for the games. Balawag Central School scouter’s and kid scouts participated in the
games. On the last day of the encampment , the awarding ceremony and closing
program took place with Ma’am Lilibeth P. Cosidon giving ribbons and certificates
to the winners. It was a meaningful experience for everyone who participated in the
activity.
In conclusion, through the implementation of the BSP campaign and membership drive,
along with regular meetings and district encampment, significant accomplishments have been
achieved. The increased number of Boy Scouts reflects the success of the recruitment efforts,
while the regular meetings, district encampments, and participation in various activities have
contributed to the personal and skill development of the scouts. These achievements demonstrate
the dedication, commitment, and teamwork exhibited by the scouting community in pursuit of its
objectives. Moving forward, it is essential to sustain and build upon these accomplishments to
ensure the continued growth and success of the scouting movement.
