Figure 1.

b) (i) Draw an Archimedean spiral of one convolution with the shortest and longest radii of
lengths 10 mm and 50 mm respectively.
(ii) Draw the normal and tangent at a point on the curve, 25 mm from the pole.

c) Sketch an ellipse showing the following features. Label these features.

• Foci
• Directrix
• Axes
