Our lesson for today is about leadership training


HUMAN BEHAVIOR
 The capacity to perform mental, physical, emotional, and social activities experienced during the five
stages of human life
*prenatal, hindi pa pinapanganak
infancy, 1st to 2 years walking and crawling
childhood, 3 to 11, talk, think, count
adolescence, and adulthood, more matured in thinking *way of human to act and interact
 Behaviors dictated by culture, society, values, morals, ethics, and genetics (Farnsworth, 2019)
* o sa madaling salita, ito yung mga kilos, galaw, mannerism ng isang tao. Ang behavior nakadepende to sa 2 bagay
una,
Nakadepende rin yung behavior kung paano ba siya pinalaki o kung ano yung nakikita niya sa paligid
Example sa culture, dito satin sa matatanda ng mamano tayo sa kanila, then sa japan diba bowing as a sign of respect

MOTIVATION
 Refers to factors that stimulate the desire and energy to stay continually interested in something.
*motivation is the driving force behind human actions. It is the reason why a person is doing something. Your needs,
wants or desires. For example, sa pag-aaral, bakit ka ba nag-aaral, para kanino o para saan ang pagpasok mo sa araw na
ito. Sabi nga diba, para kanina ka bumabangon?
 A person needs motivation to get a job done and achieve a goal.
*because it influences us in our productivity, performance and overall satisfaction. Ito yung nagpupush satin para
kumilos, mag-effort at gawin yung mga dapat nating gawin. It was like the fuel that drives us to continue achieving our
goals, fire igniting our souls

GOOD LEADERSHIP
 Leadership is concerned with the qualities demonstrated by a leader and the process of social
influences
*in which a human person enlists the aid and support of another to accomplish an activity. Ang sabi dito ang
leadership daw ay tumutukoy sa mga katangiang pinapakita ng isang leader. Alam naman natin na ang leader ang
namumuno ng isang grupo pero bakit ba tayo namimili ng leader? Do you have any idea? Leaders provide guidance,
inspiration, and motivation when achieving goals. And some people are good leaders while others are not. And its true
because we all have different strengths and weaknesses.
 A good leader possesses qualities that will make others follow him/her (Li, 2010).
* and li gave 10 essential characteristics of a good leader

CHARACTERISTICS OF A GOOD LEADER


The following are the ten essential characteristics of a good and charismatic leader (Li, 2010).
1. Visionary - good leaders know where they want to go, and they can motivate people to believe in their
vision for their country, community and family.
*why? Because if you are a visionary, you can see the big picture of where the group or team is headed, since ang
sabi nga natin kanina, leaders provide guidance so malalaman mo ano ba dapat yung kailangang gawin para maattain ang
isang goal, ano ang ating mga capabilities, kapag ikaw ay isang visionary. Because good leaders view things as what they
could be and not simply as what they are.
2. Witty - good leaders can make sound judgments and decisions even during crucial situations.
*this is very important since most of the time, ang leader ang nagdedesiyon para sa isang grupo. So he/she needs to
be witty to critically asses or analyze the problems or crucial situations. Ang sabi nga nila diba ang leader ang pumapasan o
bumubuhat sa isang grupo. Kaya kung hindi niya pagiisipan ng mabuti and isang decision, this can make or break the
group.
3. Passionate - good leaders are very passionate and intensely immersed in whatever they are focused
on
*it can be business, sports or hobbies. kapag passionate ka sa isang bagay gagawin mo lahat para makamit mo yung
isang bagay. Kasi mahalaga to sayo eh. So if you are a passionate leader you will keep going despite failures until you reach
that goal.
4. Compassionate - good leaders show compassion for their supporters and followers.
* they are not selfish individuals who think only about their wants and needs; they have a heart for others. When we
say a compassionate leader, they are not just using their mind to lead but also their heart to inspire and influence people
so they can, in turn, inspire and influence others. Because a great leader positively impact its members.
5. Charismatic - good leaders are fascinating individuals who tend to draw the human person towards
excelling in building relationships and obtaining remarkable performances.
*meaning ginagamit nila dito ang kanilang mga charm, persuasive skills, communication skills para matulungan ang
mga tao at para magkaroon ng magandang relasyon sa ibang tao. At connected ito sa pang anim na charactersitic which is
communicative
6. Communicative - good leaders are usually great speakers and charismatic.
*of course, dahil nga nasa isa kang grupo dapat magaling kang makipag interact o makipag usap sa kanila. Dapat kaya
mong maiexpress ng mabuti ang iyong mga ideya at kumbinsihin ang mga tao.
7. Persistent - good leaders are determined to attain their goals despite obstacles and problems.
*dapat hindi ka pinanghihinaan ng loob, dahil sa ayaw mo man o hindi, meron at merong problema kang
kakaharapin. Kailangan mong maging matiyaga at maging determinado na magpatuloy dahil dumidepende sayo ang ibang
tao.
8. *Having integrity - good leaders keep their words and promises.
*they are honest, reliable and trustworthy. Ang magaling na leader ay dapat tapat. Why? Because it is the foundation
of trust and respect, and also sets as an example to others. Kasi kung di ka pinagkakatiwalaan at nirerespeto, hindi ka na
nila susundin at magkakawatak watak na yung grupo niyo
9. Daring - good leaders are bold, willing to take risks, and determined to chase their dreams amid the
reality of fear and uncertainty.
* you need to be brave enough as you are the anchor of the organization or group. Leaders or the group as a whole
will face difficult obstacles so you need to have courage para malagpasan at masolusyonan lahat ng problema
10. Disciplined - good leaders observe self-control and order.
* good leaders will manage to stay focused and steady regardless of the situation. Meaning hindi sila madaling
nadidistract at organized silang tao. Alam kasi nila kung ano ba yung priorities nila sa buhay

QUALITIES THAT GOOD LEADERS MUST POSSESS


1. Character - his/her habits, opinions, attitudes, interests, actions, and personal philosophies.
*ito kaninang disniscuss na sampung characteristic. Mahalaga to para mag kaisa yung grupo
2. Charisma - ability to charm and influence
*again this is already been discussed. Charisma is the ability to persuade other people
3. Commitment - act of engaging in a continuous obligation.
*good leaders are dedicated on what they are doing. Mahalaga to para kahit magkaroon man ng di inaasahang
pangyayari, kaya mo pa ring panatilihin yung layunin ng inyong grupo.
4. Communication - two-way process of conveying and understanding information
* in which there is a created and shared meaning among the communicators. Two-way process meaning both sender
and receiver listens to each other. if you want to be heard by other people, you need to listen to them to. Salitan kayo.
Also, kailangan din tignan kung ano ba yung response ng tao sa sinabi mo.
5. Competence - the manifestation of a sufficient amount of knowledge and skills that enable a person to
act in various situations.
* a competent person can understand and respond to different situations accordingly and reasonably. Kaya nga
tuwing pumipili tayo ng leader, lagi nating pinipili yung matalino o magaling kasi meron na silang knowledge, skill and
experience na magagamit nila. Mas magiging malaki kasi yung chance na magampanan nila ng maayos yung pagiging
leader.
6. Courage - a person who faces difficulties without fear and making things right.
*the boldness of a leader can inspire people and organizations. Ito yung willing kang magtake risk. Important din to
since you wont achieve your goals if you are not brave enough or courageous enough to break free and take risk.

*when we talk about transformational leadership, it is a theory of leadership that identifies the changes that need to
take place, ano ano ba yung kailangang baguhin
* from the word transform, this changes people. hindi sila natatakot na magbago ng mga strategies kahit na di naman
ito yung kinaugalian natin. Mas importante rin sa kanila na magkaroon ng magandang relasyon sa mga members at
maging independent thinkers sila.
These leaders are committed to helping others reach their full potential and are willing to take risks to accomplish this.
