MAZDA CONNECT OVER THE AIR (OTA) UPDATE PROCEDURE

CMU Software Version Verification Procedure

1. Turn the ignition to ON or start the engine.

2. Select ”Settings” on the Home screen.

3. Select “System setting” on the screen below.

4. Select “System Information” on the screen below.

5. Select “Version Information” on the screen below.

6. Verify the CMU software version (CMU software version is 11014 in this example).

NOTE: If there is software update information, the CMU checks every 7 days and
sends a notification that there is an update available. Select “New update available” to
be taken to the Software Update screen (step 4 in CMU OTA Software Update
Procedure).

1. Turn the ignition to ON or start the engine.

2. Select ”Settings” on the Home screen.

3. Select “System setting” on the screen below.

4. Select “Software Update” on the screen below.

5. Select “Check for Software Updates” on the screen below.

6. Select “Update” on the screen below.

7. Select “Agree” on the Software License Agreement screen.

8. Wait until the update is completed (the update takes about 3-5 minutes to complete).

9. Turn the ignition OFF.


10. Turn the ignition to ON or start the engine.

11. Check the software version and verify that it has updated to the new version.

12. Turn the ignition OFF.
