Course Description
HUMAN VALUES
Programme Outcome:- Understand and apply the wisdom that they learn in course for self
development and as well as to solve the problems of the modern world at all levels such as
social, economical, cultural and political fields. They will be equipped with knowledge as to
how ancient texts can be used to deal with psychological issues like stress, depression,
anxiety, loneliness, peer pressure etc
Course Objectives: The objective of this course is to enable students to understand the core
concepts of being able to develop Competence, Character and Culture (3C Formula)and its

Course Outcomes:-
1 Understanding the need of inheriting the Human Values such as Respect, Tolerance, Non-
violence, Cleanliness, Self-Actualization, etc. (Understanding)
2. Develop feelings of fraternity (vasudhaiva kutumbakam) towards all and work for the
welfare of society.(Application)
3. Practice the qualities of an Ideal leader(Application)
4 Identify the major problems in the current age and propose Value added solutions to them.

5. Develop a plan to create awareness about importance of Human values (Creating)
6. Use Assertive Speech and Behaviour without resorting to Extremes (Understanding)
7 Live A life of Trust, Love and Respect with Fellow Living Beings, Nature and God.

3. Power of Habits & Role of Character in Leader’s life
4. Be a carefree bee or be careful and be free
5. Art of Self Management
6. Anger Management
7. Avoiding Fault-finding & Correcting without hurting (apisunam & 17.15)
8. Eight attitudes of an Effective Leader &
Inspiring voluntary service spirit
9. Tit for tat or tolerate provoking situations?
10. Celebrating others success (rise above competition, insecurity & envy)

Practicals:-

1 Activities related to Balancing Eco-system (Planting trees, Creating awareness etc)


2. Lifestyle Balance outings(for 1 day)
3. Personal mentoring by seniors - one to one guidance(all info will be kept private)
4. Meditation based activities (Hare Krishna Maha Mantra)
5. Teaching Human Values in Schools (to their understating to near by institute)
Assessments (optional for Special Topics courses)
Written test (mainly objective based – monthly once)
Presentation evaluation (2 presentations – offline/online)
Final Project Submission.
