User Story
2.1 Example Mapping for Critical User Stories
 User Story 1: As a resident, I want to be able to rent a VeloStep for free up to 5 times a
month so that I can conveniently travel around Bruges without worrying about
transportation costs.

1. Rule: Users can rent a VeloStep for free up to 5 times per month.
 Example 1: Ebrahim rents a VeloStep for his commute to work on Monday.
 Example 2: Mohammed uses an VeloStep for a quick grocery run on Tuesday.
 Example 3: Gawad takes a VeloStep for a leisure ride in the park on Saturday.

2. Rule: After 5 free rides, users need to pay for additional usage.
 Example 1: Emma reaches her 5 free rides, and when she tries to rent a VeloStep
again, the app prompts her to choose a payment option.
 Example 2: Daniel exceeds his free rides and receives a notification asking him to
choose a subscription plan or pay-as-you-go option.

 User Story 2: As a privacy user, I want an option to hide my personal details when using
VeloStep by paying a small fee, ensuring my location remains hidden.

1. Rule: Users concerned about privacy can pay a fee to hide personal details.
 Example 1: Lilo prefers not to share her name and location, so she pays the fee
and uses VeloStep anonymously.
 Example 2: Keemo wants to protect his privacy, so he chooses the option to hide
his personal details and successfully completes VeloStep rental.

 User Story 3: As a user in an emergency, I want to be able to contact a city council employee
through the VeloStep emergency button for assistance, to ensure my safety during
emergency situations.

1. Rule: Users concerned about privacy can pay a fee to hide personal details.
 Example 1: Sohail faces a medical emergency and presses the emergency button
on the VeloStep. A Stad Brugge representative responds immediately and
arranges help.
 Example 2: Anas witnesses an accident while using a VeloStep then uses the
emergency button and receives assistance from a Stad Brugge employee.

2.2 User Stories for Each Client Deployable

 User Stories for Parent (User) Deployable:
1. As a resident, I want to easily locate nearby VeloStep pick-up
points on the map within the app, ensuring I can access the
service conveniently.

2. As a regular VeloStep user, I want to view the real-time availability

of VeloStep at different pick-up points to plan my trips effectively.

3. As a privacy user, I want a simple toggle in the app settings to

enable or disable sharing my location information with the city
council, giving me control over my privacy.

4. As a user who frequently exceeds the 5 free rides, I want the

ability to subscribe to a monthly plan or choose a pay as you go
option from the app, ensuring a smooth additional usage.

5. As a concerned citizen, I want to be able to report any damaged

VeloStep through the app, ensuring safety and quality.

6. As a user with limited mobility, I want to request a VeloStep to be

delivered to a specific location, providing me with a flexible
transportation option.
 User Stories for "Stad Brugge" (City Council) Deployable:
1. As a city council administrator, I want access to a dashboard that
displays real-time usage analytics, including the number of active
VeloSteps and their locations, enabling me to monitor the
service's performance.

2. As a city council employee, I want the ability to deactivate

VeloSteps temporarily or permanently if needed, ensuring control
and safety.

3. As a city council member, I want to plan VeloStep deliveries for

special events or promotions, enhancing the service's engagement
and utility.

4. As a partnership coordinator for "Stad Brugge", I want a portal

where local vendors can apply to become partners and submit
their incentive offerings, streamlining the partnership process.

5. As an administrator of the vendor partnership program, I want to

be notified about the status of partnership applications and track
the duration of agreements with partnered businesses.

6. As an ethics and compliance officer, I want to ensure the system

adheres to ethical principles and safeguards user data, allowing
the city council to make responsible decisions.
