INSTALLATION MANUAL

LIGHTROOM & PHOTOSHOP CAMERA RAW


I. INTRODUCTION

FILMSLOOKS is a team of experienced passionate photographers and videographers that


are working hard in providing useful photography & videography tools to help you
improve your workflows and products quality.

II. INSTALLATION FOR LIGHTROOM


WINDOWS & MAC

Installation instruction are the same for Lightoom in both Windows and Mac:
1. Select Lightroom > Preferences (OSX) / Select Edit > Preferences (Win).
2. Click the preset tab, then click the button ‘Show Lightroom Preset Folder’
3. Open the folder named ‘Develop Presets’
4. Copy or move main purchased preset folders here, normally main presets folder has
“FILMSLOOKS” word.
5. Back to the parent folder of ‘Develop Presets’, then open ‘Local Adjustment Presets’,
copy all files in presets packages with the same folder name to this folder.
6. Restart Lightroom and your ready to use your new presets.

How to use Lightroom Presets


1. Go to the develop module by pressing ‘D‘ on your keyboard.
2. Your new preset folders will now be available on the left panel.

Hover your pointer over them and you will see the effects of each preset on your active
image in the top preview. Lightroom Preset Install Path:

• Mac (user)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Develop Presets

• Win (user)/Application Data/Adobe/Lightroom/Develop Presets


III. INSTALLATION FOR PHOTOSHOP CAMERA RAW (ACR)

1. To install ACR presets in Photoshop, please download and unzip the main presets
you purchased from us and place them in the following location (main presets in
the folder which normally has word “FILMSLOOKS”):

• Mac(user)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Camera Raw /Settings


• Win (user)/Application Data/Adobe/Camera Raw/Settings

Make sure you only copy the preset files (.xmp) into the 'Settings' folder, specified above,
as folders are not supported in Camera Raw.

2. Copy all files in ‘LocalCorrections’ of your purchase package, to according


locations:

• Mac(user)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Camera Raw /LocalCorrections


• Win (user)/Application Data/Adobe/Camera Raw/LocalCorrections

How to use ACR Presets

1. Open a raw file either by double clicking on the file or through bridge, the ACR
window will open.
2. Click the preset slider icon in the right side panel. Here all your installed ACR presets
will be available. Click on a preset to apply to your open image.

IV. TIPS

Shooting tips – set camera profile to neutral profile with medium contrast & saturation.
This will give your photos a good base to start using our presets.
Advised steps to edit your photos:

1. Make sure you correct your photo white balance & exposure first before start using
presets.
2. Once you apply color presets, you could use Filmslooks Addons Presets to
enhance exposure/contrast/add grain to your photos.
