3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
Art Paper and Board may combust when exposed to open flame.
The primary health hazard is probably due to exposure to dust. Cellulose dust is a
biologically inert dust that has little or no effect on the lungs and does not produce
significant organic disease or toxic effect when allowable exposure limits are met.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES

Ingestion No harmful effects expected. Paper products cannot be
digested. Consult a physician if swallowed in quantity.
Skin contact No harmful effects expected. If required, wash with soap and
water adequately. Paper edge may be sharp.
Inhalation No harmful effects expected. No emergency care is
anticipated if irritation or discomfort occur, remove
individual to fresh air.

 Eyes No harmful effects expected. Dust may mechanically irritate
the eyes, resulting in redness or watering. Treat dust in eye as
foreign object. If required, flush with clean water.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

This product is not expected to cause a hazardous situation. Sweep or vacuum paper
dust for recovery or disposal. Avoid dusty conditions and provide general
ventilation. Spill containment is not an issue. See section 14 for disposal information.

7. SAFE HANDLING AND STORAGE

Recommended storage conditions before use :
Keep in dry place with suitable room temperature. Other applications deviating from
the recommended conditions should be discussed with the supplier.
Do not expose open package in high humidity environment where condensation
could occur. Prolonged exposure to high humidity environment may cause
dimensional instability of the paper.

Precautions to be taken in handling and storage:

Should follow common good manufacturing practice in handling and storage.

Technical protection measure: Not required. Store in dry place. Any application of
the product in elevated temperature process should be evaluated completely to
assure safe operating conditions.

Fire and explosion prevention : Store in sufficient distance from strong heat sources
or open flame.

8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS & PERSONAL PROTECTION

Ventilation system: Mechanical (general) – Provide general
ventilation in processing and storage areas.
Personal protection equipment: Generally not required. Persons who tend to
have allergic skin reactions may wear textile
gloves.
Protective gloves: All types are acceptable.
Eye protection: Safety goggles as required.

equipment are recommended when handling
large quantity.

10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY

11. HEALTH HAZARD IDENTIFICATION

Azo dyes: The product does not contain azo compounds as regulated by
European Directive 2002/61/EC on azocolourants.
Toxic element: The product does not contain toxic elements of heavy metals
prohibited by 2002/95/EC (RoHS) and EN71-3 (Safety for Toys)
such as Arsenic (As), Barium (Ba), Cadmium (Cd), Chromium (VI)
(Cr6+), Cobalt (Co), Mercury (Hg), Nickel (Ni) and Lead (Pb).
PBBs & PBDEs: The product does not contain PBBs and PBDEs prohibited by
2002/95/EC (RoHS).
Hazardous Organic compounds:
The product does not contain formaldehyde, hexachlorobenzene,
PCBs, PCN, PCP, PCT, PVC, CP, asbestos and organic tin
compounds (MBT, DBT, TBT).
Effects of single overexposure: From the available information there is no evidence of
adverse effects from overexposure by swallowing, skin absorption,
inhalation, skin contact or eye contact.
Effects of overexposure under specific condition : Exposed to combustion vapors
generated at high temperature may result in eye and respiratory
tract irritation.

12. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION

The material and ingredients are with our knowledge and experience considered as
non-toxic to humans or warm-blooded animals.

13. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION
This product is compatible with repulping operation. Paper mills have approved it
for general recycling. The components dissolved in aqueous treatment of the product
are all biodegradable, thus process water resulting from recycling is regularly treated.

14. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS

Disposal recommendations:
Recycling or fuel blending is recommended as an option. Consult your local waste
recycling facility for information. Recycling may be possible but has to be tested as
polymer materials may interfere with some processes.

15. TRANSPORT INFORMATION

This product is not hazardous. No special shipping restriction nor labeling is
required.

16. REGULATORY INFORMATION

Not covered by any restrictions for hazardous or environmentally harmful materials.
No Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) contained or used during manufacturing.
