Blended learning (also known as hybrid learning) is a method of teaching that integrates technology and

digital media with traditional instructor-led classroom activities, giving students more flexibility to
customize their learning experiences. Since the covid epidemic until now, this is a learning method that
brings a lot of benefits but also has many potential harms.

First, blended learning using multiple modalities significantly reinforces engagement, learning, and
retention. Studies have shown that blended learning increases engagement by providing different
opportunities for student engagement using digital engagement tools and educators can create a more
fun and engaging learning environment rather than simply reading text off a slide over video software.
Second, Learners can control the pace of their learning. Choice reduces learner apathy, relieves some of
the stress of the learning process and motivates people to engage with the material. Third, this method
Improve outcomes with blended learning. For example, When DeHart Technical School implemented
blended learning, it improved attendance rates by 11% and on-time graduation rates by 23%. Damon
Fugett, Director of DeHart, credits the ease of logging on to online classes. Even when students don’t
feel like getting out of their house in the morning, they can still log on to a Zoom call and engage with
instructors.

However, the blended learning method also has disadvantages. First, it will be a barrier for those with
limited computer knowledge and information technology today. In the process of accessing online
learning materials, it is very likely that you will encounter errors that prevent you from opening it.
Especially when this online learning will make management more difficult. Second is the security status.
It is easy to understand when a training environment using digital tools really brings convenience when
users want to search or exchange learning materials. However, it also requires reliable technology tools
and resources to avoid bringing security risks and minimizing idea theft.

In concluded, blended learning is a modern learning method that has both good and bad effects, so
equipping information technology knowledge and skills is essential.

Blended learning (also known as hybrid learning) is an educational method that combines technology
and digital media with conventional teaching activities, allowing students to tailor their learning
experiences. Since the covid pandemic till now, this has been a learning approach that offers numerous
benefits but also many drawbacks.

The first advantage of blended learning is that it significantly promotes engagement, learning, and
comprehension. Blended learning has been found in studies to boost engagement by giving numerous
possibilities for student participation by digital engagement tools, and instructors may build a more
exciting and engaging learning environment than simply reading text off a slide through video software.
Second, learners have control over the rate at which they learn. Choice decreases learner
disengagement, reduces part of the learning process's stress, and encourages people to interact with
the subject. Third, this strategy enhances results through integrated learning. DeHart Technical School,
for example, raised attendance rates by 11% and on-time graduation rates by 23% after applying
blended learning.
However, the blended learning strategy has several limitations. First of all, it will be a barrier for
individuals who now have insufficient computer skills and information technology. It is extremely likely
that you may encounter issues that prohibit you from opening online learning resources when accessing
them. Particularly since online learning will make administration more challenging. The second issue is
security. It is simple to see how a training environment that uses digital technologies makes it easier for
users to look for and exchange learning resources. However, it also necessitates dependable technology
tools and resources in order to prevent security threats and minimize idea theft.

To summarize, blended learning is an innovative way to learn with both positive and negative impacts,
therefore equipping information technology knowledge and abilities is essential.
