 ABSTRACT

E-commerce is a boom in the modern business. E-commerce means electronic commerce.

E commerce (Electronic commerce) involves buying and selling of goods and services, or the
transmitting of funds or data, over an electronic network, predominantly the Internet. E-
commerce (Electronic commerce) is a paradigm shift influencing both marketers and the
customers. Rather e-commerce is more than just another way to boost the existing business
practices. It is leading a complete change in traditional way of doing business. This significant
change in business model is witnessing a tremendous growth around the globe and India is not
an exception. A massive internet penetration has added to growth of E-commerce and more
particularly start-ups have been increasingly using this option as a differentiating business
model. Moreover E-Commerce has significant influences on the environment. Although the
model is highly used in current business scenario but the option has not been explored at its
fullest. The current research has been undertaken to describe the scenario of E-Commerce,
analyze the trends of E-Commerce. The study further examines the key variables imperative
for the success of E-commerce business models.

Objective:
The objectives of present study are: 1. To understand the present status and trends of E-
Commerce; and 2. To reveal the key variables influencing the increased usage of E-Commerce.
 PROBLEM STATEMENT

This projects aims to develop an online shopping for customers with the goal so that it is very
easy to shop your loved things from a extensive number of online shopping sites available on
the web. With the help of this you can carry out an online shopping from your home. Here is
no compelling reason to go to the crowed stores or shopping centers during festival seasons.
You simpy require a PC or a laptop and one important payment sending option to shop online.
To get to this online shopping system all the customers will need to have a email and password
to login and proceed your shopping.
The login credentials for an online shopping system are under high security and nobody will
have the capacity to crack it easily. Upon successful login the customers can purchase a wide
range of things such as mobiles, books, apparel, jewellery, infant care, gifts, tools, etc. can be
dispatched using online shopping system.
Not just these, you can also purchase from outside nations by few clicks on your mouse. And
of course you will get your requested ordered items at your door step. It is simple. You will
pick your favourite items from variety of online shopping sites looking at cost and quality. No
need to go physical shops with this you will have more time to spend with your family.It Just
need a computer and a payment making options like net banking, credit card, debit card or
paypal. Almost a wide range of things can be brought through online shopping system. You can
purchase goods from foreign places from your bedroom and you will get your goods at your

The Objective of Ecommerce might differ based on the business, but generally they comprise
lower costs, increasing sales, and improving customer satisfaction.
Sales can be increased by attracting more customers through improved marketing strategies or
by lowering the cost of products sold. Costs can be lowered by determining ways to reduce
manufacturing and distribution expenses or by developing new products that are cheaper to
produce. Customer satisfaction can be improved by offering a quality product that is easy to
use and fulfills customer needs.
Increasing Sales in Ecommerce Store
There are few objective of ecommerce that businesses should aim for when trying to upscale
sales in their ecommerce store: One needs to improve on the conversion rates.
Increasing Brand Awareness
One of the most common reasons businesses opt to use online marketing is to enhance brand
awareness. When customers, through online channels, are introduced to a company or product,
it creates a stronger connection between them and the brand.
Improving Customer Satisfaction
There are a few objectives that can assist with this, such as offering a good customer
experience, fulfilling customer needs, and reducing complaints. Satisfying customer needs, one
objective of ecommerce, includes ensuring that the products and services provided fulfills the
requirements of the customer. This can be done through making sure of accuracy in product
information, providing useful guides and tutorials, and responding quickly to questions.

Web Servers
Web server can refer to either the hardware (the computer) or the software (the computer
application) that helps to deliver content that can be accessed through the Internet. The most
common use of web servers is to host web sites but there are other uses such as data storage or
running enterprise applications.
Database system
a database system is the database a company use, to link with a website. it can contain many
things that will be changed by users of the website, the database will store passwords, names,
addresses, store items and other business information.
Domain name
the domain name is the main section of a website. google is an example:

in different countries, companies such as google have many servers in different countries.
Browser and platform capabilities
there are many different web browsers, such as google chrome, windows internet explorer and
mozilla firefox. but each browser renders graphics in different ways. the browsers interpret the
code and must be taken into consideration when designing a website.
programming requirements
web pages are usually written in html, within this code other languages can be used such as
PHP, ASP and javascript. HTML itself does not provide e-commerce capabilities so another
language must be used aswell Browsers A web browser is a programme/application designed
to display the internet with web pages, a few examples are Opera, Windows internet explorer
and Google Chrome

Software is required in order for the server to run, the software manages the connections and
the server, a few examples of home server software

 CONCLUSION

A developing country may well attempt to be modernized if it introduces e-commerce

effectively and efficiently. It will improve its output and lead to its competitive advantage.
Information Technology (IT) has uplifted ecommerce worldwide. Now it's at ease to enter to a
new market and marketers' can easily evaluate their product and company's performance. A
growing number of firms in various industries, such as banking, education, commerce, and
tourism, etc. have improved their services by both incorporating technologies into their service
delivery process. Integration of technology in services is becoming very common; however,
very little academic research has been conducted to examine its influence. The issues related
to E commerce are also on the rise which is posing serious threat to its tall future and hence
demands right strategies on part of marketers. The research works on E-commerce propose
good number of variables to be taken care of if marketers need to be successful in this newly
business model. The factors which will significantly contribute to the success of the E-
Commerce industry and focused upon should be consistency of transaction steps, consistency
of Web site design, replacement guarantee, M Commerce services, consistency of
promotions, consistency of in-stock indications, consistency of product variety, location based
services, multiple payment option, right content, shipment option, legal requirement of
generating invoices for online transactions
