Nonstandard measuring devices such as our
body parts or any materials may be used to used
measure lengths or dimensions. However, they
cannot give an exact measurement. (paper clips,
blocks, finger spaces, hands pans ,feet, etc.)

Using Kilogram
One day Toni got sick. Father took Toni to a
doctor. Before seeing the doctor, Toni had to be
weighted. Toni was weighted using a weighing
scale. Toni’s weight was 30 kilograms. Father was
weighted as well. Father’s weight was 60
kilograms.
The kilogram is a unit of measurement for weight.
