Theoretical Background:-

1. Frame-Based Animation:
- Keyframes: In traditional and digital Photo Editing, keyframes are used to define the
significant poses or moments in a sequence.
- In-Betweening: The frames between keyframes are filled in to create smooth motion.
This is crucial for achieving fluid animation.

2. Principles of Animation:
- Squash and Stretch: Adds weight and volume to characters or objects during motion.
- Anticipation: A movement preparing the audience for an action, enhancing realism.
- Staging: Presenting an idea so it is unmistakably clear. This involves the arrangement
of elements in a scene.
- Follow Through and Overlapping Action: Elements in motion don't all stop at once; there's
a gradual slowdown.
- Arcs: Most actions in life follow an arced trajectory, providing a more natural look.
- Slow In and Slow Out: Movements often start slowly, accelerate, and then slow down again.

3. Timing and Spacing:

- Timing: The number of frames used to represent an action. It affects the speed of animation.
- Spacing: The distribution of frames. Equal spacing results in constant motion, while varied
spacing can create a more dynamic effect.
4. Persistence of Vision:
- The theory that the human eye retains an image for a fraction of a second, allowing for the illusion of continuous
motion in film and animation.

5. Rotoscoping:
- A technique where animators trace over live-action footage frame by frame. This method captures realistic
movements and forms the basis for some classic animations.

6. The Multiplane Camera:

- In traditional animation, the multiplane camera allows for the movement of several layers of artwork at different
speeds, creating depth and dimensionality.

7. Emergence of Digital Animation:

- The transition from traditional to digital animation brought about changes in tools and techniques. Software like
Adobe Animate and Toon Boom Harmony offers new possibilities.

8. Impact on Visual Storytelling:

- Photo Editing has a rich history in visual storytelling. It allows for the creation of fantastical worlds and characters
while providing a unique aesthetic.

Understanding these theoretical aspects provides a foundation for creating engaging and visually appealing Photo
