Chapter 3 – Meeting Culture Assignment

Your International Business Company located in Canada is exploring a new


country to invest and distribute its product to its market. Using the information
provided, you will develop a presentation in which all areas of Cultural Business
Practices are demonstrated.

 Please choose a country and send it to me on Edsby by October 16,


at 11:59 pm E.T. Don’t send it before that time please. Don’t forget,
your business is located in Canada so you should choose a different
country. Approval of the country chosen will be first sent first
served. If another student sent this same country, you will be
advised to choose another one.

 Your presentation should include both DO’s and Don’ts. The


presentation should be realistic and formal. It must be clear in your
presentation whether the country you chose approves or
disapproves of each practice. Cameras should be on so proper dress
is encouraged.

 You are encouraged to apply Geert Hofstede dimensions on the chosen


country and include it in the presentation.

 Complete the handout attached to the assignment to guide your work.

 Your presentation should be 5-7 minutes maximum. Please stick to the


time limit to avoid mark deductions.

 Send the attached handout and the power point to your teacher
before the presentation. Due date is Oct. 26 (the attached handout
and the power point) at 1:55 pm ET

 Presentations will be arranged virtually via zoom calls and they will be on
Oct. 26 from 1:55 pm to 2:30pm E.T.
