Top Down RPG Shooter in 3rd person (2D pixel art graphics)

Gameplay mechanics is very similar to the game Zelter where its a top down shooter and
you use a pointer/mouse or joystick to aim on a top down level.

The gameplay will be a mouse on PC pointing to the enemy when shooting in 2D. Maybe
later in console this can be a joystick. This is similar to Call Of Duty Black OPs 2 Arcade
zombies.

Resource Management Survival Strategy


This game is going to be similar to "state of decay" a large map open world survival resource
management strategy game which also has crafting and rpg elements where player
consumes resources such as food water and needs to manage resources etc. Zelter is a
game with these features too where you gather and consume resources.
Just like State of decay this game will incorporate survival mechanics such as Food calorie
consumption and hydration levels.

RPG
This game will have core RPG elements where user can
-equip weapons and armour
-Craft weapons and armour
-craft first aid kits
-craft buildings
-crafting tree where items and skills are prerequisites to create a specific item.
-can level up certain skills from using them frequently or using a item

Artificial Intelligence for Enemy NPC and Player Allies


NPCs have behavioural traits like enemies attack the player when they spot the player or
allies attack when they spot an enemy or are defending a location. Different enemies have
different objectives and behave differently.

Custom Base Building for Defence and Farming/ Resources.


 Building blueprints can be mapped out on the floor of the map.
 It will also have small amounts of farming simulators like stardew valley.
 Another similar game is they are billions where its a tower defence game where you
can build custom defences around the base such as walls and towers and guns
 It also has some farming elements like “Stardew Valley”.

Below are some examples of what might be included in the game


Example below shows tilling the ground and planting potatoes in zelter
An example below is building wooden barriers in zelter

Building coops barns and greenhouses in stardew valley


Am example on defence building “They are billions” building wooden walls and watch sniper
towers

Open World Map/Environment and also map environment changing events


 Open world map area, maybe not large or huge map, it can be small for budget
constraints but needs to be big enough show different types of areas such as
water/beach/sea ,city , farm, wilderness/ forest
 Also have 2 optional bases for the player to relocate
 Events such as summer and winter season , winter shows white grass and trees for
snow etc , it also sometimes rains and sometimes storms
 Nukes destroying an entire city

An example of nuclear missile in a game “Red Alert 2” and destruction to buildings


Be able to make the game multiplayer compatible in a future release.(Multiplayer feature
won’t be needed to the current game right now)
 Be able to record the players score or survival length and compare players on a
leader board in story mode
 Design a game to be compatible with Multiplayer functions in a future development

Game monetization
 Game needs to be able to be sold on PC and Steam or Games distribution market
places
 In the future ,I am looking to also sell the game on Android and iOS or consoles.

The capacity for ongoing development such as bug fixes and updates and extra DLCs even
after initial release

 When project is completed all assets used for the game must be provided
-project source code and all revisions
-all character sprites
-maps and environments
-all graphics related assets
-sound effects
 Source code must be provided and well documented for future developers ,
E.g.
-github revision management and documentation
-object oriented programming class hierarchy structure diagrams
-AI algorithm diagrams , decision trees etc
