Theme 1 Lesson Six :

 Firstly: Ways You Can Find Data:

1. Libraries: It contains many books and articles in many fields.

2. Interviews: It is face-to-face to exchange information.

3. TV: It is a device through which a lot of information can

viewed.

4. QR code: It is a symbol for outputting the information on the

system by pointing the device’s camera at the symbol.

 Firstly: Different ways of sharing information:

1- Internet: It is a public network, less secure and share

information in open network on the web.

2- Intranet: It is a private network, more secure and share

information in a closed network.

 Secondly: Microsoft Excel:

Step 1: Go to the tool bar and press data.

Step 2: Press sort ( to arrange the items alphabetically).

 Thirdly: some Excel operations :

1 – to create the formula type = sign in the cell

2 - to create the sum or plus type + sign in the cell

 Firstly: Very Important Definitions:

1- Personal Information: They are your data and called

Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

2- Hackers: they are people use the internet to break into a

computer system and steal personal information.

3- The Files: they are a package of data stored in your device,

you also have to know how to keep and protect it.

4- Importance of update: the updates include changes that

keep your data safe.

 Note: you should do a strong password to avoid hacker

discovered it.

Strong password consist of:

Special sign capital letter small letter numbers.

 Secondly: ways you can keep your (PII) safe:

1- Limit personal information you share on internet.

2- Don’t sign-up for websites ask more (PII).

3- Use different strong passwords for each website.

4- Use anti-virus software on all of your devices.

5- Update your device regularly.

 Thirdly: ways to back up your data:

1- Using software programs that back up data automatically.

2- Using flash drive or external hard drive (hybrid backup)

 Fourthly: reason why you have to protect your file:

(virus – software problem – human error < break laptop>).
