The sequence in which the thesis contents should be arranged and spiral should be as follows:

11. Thesis Chapters:

Chapters 1: Introduction

Chapters 2: Literature Survey

Chapters 3: Objective and Plan of Work

Chapters 4: Experimental

Chapters 5: Results and Discussion

Chapters 6: Conclusion

Chapters 7: References

12. Appendices-Animal ethical certificate etc.

13. List of Publications (out of the candidate’s present work)

14. Curriculum Vitae (of the candidate)


1. Cover Page or Title Page: The TITLE of the thesis (Times New Roman, font size 16, bold black, single
line spacing, and the title of the thesis; centered within the specified margin of the page, Supervisor
name designation with qualification, University logo).

2. Certificates: The Certificates and declaration of thesis shall be in double line spacing with Times New
Roman font size 12. The heading CERTIFICATE Times New Roman font size 14 bold in the center.

3. General: The title/headings inside the thesis Times New Roman with size 14 bold. One and a half line
spacing used for dissertation text with Time New Roman font and size 12. Page Separator may be used
between the separations of chapter. Footer (School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, IFTM University,
Moradabad. Page number given on right side starting from introduction and numbered consecutively
and consistently in Arabic numerals and header shall be given as (chapter name etc.) in Time New
Roman with size 12. Normal page margin shall be selected (except 1.3” on left side). Dissertation shall be
printed on one side good quality (not less 80 gsm) A4 white paper in black text (color for images, if
necessary) and should not be less than 75 pages. Thesis Chapters of a dissertation may be broadly
divided into Introduction, Literature Survey Objective and Plan of Work, Experimental (Material &
Methods), Results and Discussion, Conclusion and References. Final thesis (hard bound) (03 copy: 01 for
School copy; 01 for candidate; 01 for supervisor copy & additional if required) after viva voice shall be
submitted along with soft copy (A CD with exactly identical contents in pdf format).
