OBSERVE
Observe and use the observation sheet provided for you to document your
observations.
1. As you observe the class, look into the characteristics of the learners, note
their ages.
While I’m observing the Grade 5A class, they are very active, respectful, kind
and lovable. Motivation is very important for them to keep focused on the lesson.
The learner’s ages range from 10-11 years old.

behaviour?
Yes, they can manage already but some of them can’t manage their
behaviour you still need to remind and remind them of the rules.

4. Can the learners already work independently?

Yes, they can work independently but some of the learners are peer
learner.

5. Describe their span of attention.

My observation in grade 5A, their span of attention is about 20 minutes.
When it takes more than 20 minutes they already make noise and chit chat with
their seatmates.

ANALYZE
Analyze and answer these questions on observed classroom management
practices. It is also good to ask the teacher for additional information, so you
can validate your observation. Write your notes below; and then organize your
data in the table that follows.
1. Are there areas in the classroom for specific purposes (storage of teaching
aids, books, students belongings, supplies, etc.)? Describe these areas. Will
it make a difference if these areas for specific purposes are not present?
- Yes, there is a book storage. It is well organized and clean.
- Yes, it will make difference if these areas for specific purposes are not present
because the books will be scattered if there’s no storage.
2. Are there rules and procedures posted in the room? List them down. Do
these rules reinforce positive behaviour?
- None, but as I observe and interview my resource teacher he has the rules like,
keep clean the room, participate well on class, listen when someone is talking

in managing the class?
- Yes, The basis of the arrangement is according to their academic performance.
Its help in managing the class.

I can say that the noise I observe is in the level of middle volume and my
resource teacher managed by reminding them again the rules by counting one two
and talking to them.
7. If a learner is not following instruction or is off-task, what does the resource
teacher do? Describe the behaviour strategies used.
If the learner didn’t follow instruction my resource teacher provides a
disciplinary action to make realize of the learners that they should listen very well.
8. What does the resource teacher do to reinforce positive behaviours ?
( behaviour strategies)
My resource teacher appreciate the learners and talking to them nicely.

REFLECT
1. Why do you need to enforce positive discipline?
As a future teacher i need to enforce positive discipline because in
managing the classroom the learners are still have misbehavior even they are
well-mannered, there are unpredictable situations that would challenge the
teachers’ patience. We still need to enforce a positive discipline among
learners to positively address the conflicts that may arise in the classroom
without being too harsh on the learners. It is very important to the learners will
not think negatively about themselves and this will eliminate unwanted
behaviors or reactions from that they will be responsible for their actions, to be
rational, and critical and decide smartly in different situations.

The classroom organization and routines affect the learner’s behaviour
by knowing their limitations. The mind of the learners is set by the rules to

The teacher should have in mind that when he/she must be careful while making
the set of routine, they should make a point that the learners participate and oriented
in making the rules. And also make motivation for them to be interested.
3. Which behaviour strategies were effective in managing the behaviour of
the learners motivating students? Why where they effective?
Yes, because teacher do positive reinforcement and motivating the
learners to study and by acknowledging them so that the learners will
actively participate and perform well.

1. Imagine yourself organizing your classroom in the future. In what grade
year level do you see yourself? What routines and procedures would
you consider for this level why?
As I imagine my self-organizing my classroom in the future. I see myself handling
kinder. The routines and procedures that I should consider for this level is I will
surely suit their age range. Because they have short span of attention.
2. Make a list of the rules you are likely to implement in this level. Why
would you choose these rules?
- Uniform
- School ID
o I would choose these rules because it is easy to distinguish them
as a learners and their identity in case of emergencies.

3. Should learners be involved in making the class rules? Why?

Yes, the learners should participate in making the rules because they
are the number involved in the rule practice.
