GUIDELINES FOR HOLIDAY HOMEWORK

You may use the pages of your old notebooks or any other loose sheets of paper for
doing the homework. You may submit the homework in a handmade folder or a bag
made with old newspapers. Revise the syllabus for all the subjects done till the month
of May.

Here are a few tips for you to follow:

Play indoor games like Scrabble, Chess, Atlas, Word Building, etc. and avoid
going out to play in direct sunlight.

Drink a lot of water. Rejuvenate yourself by eating fresh and juicy fruits like
watermelon, muskmelon, mango, litchi, cucumber, salads, etc.

Make a workstation for yourself.

Use the four magic words ‘Please, Thank You, Excuse Me, Sorry’ in your daily
conversation and see the difference.

Help your parents with simple household chores like dusting, laying the dinner
table and so on.

Keep your room clean and well organized.

Practise Yoga or exercise every day.

Say your prayers every day in the morning and at night before going to bed.

Try to converse in English at home.

How I Spend My Day
Hello, I am Amaira. I will tell you how I spend my day.
First, I wake up early in the morning.
Then, I brush my teeth and wash my face.
I take a quick bath and get dressed for school.
Then, I finish my breakfast.
I like fruits, toast and milk in the morning.
It is my favourite breakfast.
Later, I catch the school bus.
I learn many things in school. My favourite teacher is Miss
Shreya. She teaches us English. It is my favourite
subject. We learnt about nouns yesterday.
My school ends in the afternoon and then, I come back home.
I play with my toys and do my homework in the evening.
I also go for an evening walk with my grandparents.
Later, I eat my dinner on time. After that, I brush my teeth and prepare
for the next day. I polish my shoes and pack my school bag.
I also listen to a bedtime story. My mother and grandmother know a
lot of wonderful stories. Then, I go to sleep.

MATHEMATICS
Theme: Awareness of doing good to others and learning the values
Draw a tree with branches but without leaves on a chart paper and decorate it
beautifully. Thereafter for each good deed that you do in a day, a leaf can be added
to the tree after writing the deed on that leaf.
You may write/speak about the good deeds that you have done towards your
friends/grandparents/elders.
Count the total number of good deeds that you did during the vacation and
mention in the box given below:
