Guide

Thank you for downloading PDF Extra! In this brief overview, we’ll quickly walk
you through the app’s interface and share 3 productivity tips to get you off to a
good start. Let’s go!
PDF Extra for iOS: the user interface
We worked long and hard to streamline the app’s interface to the point where almost
anyone can use it. But don’t be fooled by PDF Extra’s simplistic appearance as there are
many features hiding under the hood that make the app a true Swiss army knife for your
PDF workflow.
Let’s take a quick tour of the home screen:

1. Document history: from here you can clear your list of favorite PDF files, erase your
history of recently opened PDFs, and choose how to visualize both (as icons or as a list).

2. Profile icon: this is where you will find all important settings related to your account
(account status, password management, etc.), as well as helpful documentation.
3. Search bar: quickly find and open any PDF stored on your device by typing its
name.
4. Features section: instantly access the tools you need by tapping on any of our most
popular features or on “More” to reveal the full list of available options.
5. Scan: tap once to activate your phone’s camera and use it to scan a document, ID
card, passport, QR code, or to instantly recognize and copy texts from images.
6. Files: browse PDFs currently stored on your device, Apple Photos, or in the cloud and
freely transfer files between devices with ‘Transfer Files to PC/Mac” option.
