First of all, filmmaking gives an opportunity for self-expression. I love filmmaking because it is
a combination of my interests and hobbies: psychology, creative writing, photography, and
acting. Movies tell human stories, unique unknown stories, they give the audience the emotions
they lack in some period of their lives. My name is Saricka Campbell, you can tell your own
stories it is your truth or someone else’s truth, the unashamed freedom of your untamed
unfiltered imagination. All the fascinating stories we would never have heard of or care about,
we learn from movies. All the unique stories that educate people to, open their minds and hearts,
and ask questions to think of...
On top of that, I never get tired of film production the whole filmmaking process in connecting
with the crew so interpersonal the crew feels like a family. I deeply respect that film making is a
community building exercise. Storytelling in a collaborative medium enterprise and the amazing
teamwork required creativity, honest and spiritually Its rewarding experience to both produce
and view. Behind the scenes, you can be part of all the hilarious part that does not make to the

Film production itself can be somewhat a comedy movie. Overall, I find the entire process of
filmmaking to be enjoyable, and though it might be a long and complicated process I ultimately
think once you love what you do every day will be a fun and exciting challenge and learning
experience, one that I hope to share with the world as soon as I start my filmmaking career.
My passion for filmmaking inspired me to apply for your 2019 fall program to learn about different
cinematography techniques, and the appeal of being with people with the same passion and interest in an
interactive way, hasn’t gone amidst the opportunity to binding with my peers is exactly what my soul
needs to flourish. My interest in filmmaking derive from my love for creativity, A creative minds need
creative spaces in a class environment designed to emulate real-world production facilities.
“I believe there have only been a hundred years of cinema and yet the number of masterpieces that have
been made are pretty incredible. I often think that the human race was waiting for cinema so they could
teach humanity there’s still life and hope. There is nowhere better to lose yourself than in a film. You can
be a character in any country in any time period. For two hours you can forget who you are and be who
you dream to be and pour all your dreams, demons, political, philosophy and ideology not to mention
unlimited imagination, “Film by its nature is communicative. It is a storytelling medium that has this
unique blend of narrative and technological elements. It is at its strongest when it captures the smallest
moments of our humanity, in my humble view. Sure, filmmaking can be a grand spectacle, bombastic and
loud, because, at the end of the day, filmmakers are all storytellers saying ‘this is my take’ on something.
From my experience though, it is in the quiet moments where film strikes best; in the nuances of a single
shot. I’ve always thought films, like fairy tales, explore concepts such as life and death in a safe way.
They help you learn how to cope and find your place in the world. The film, to me, has always been
something more than just pictures on a television screen. I have always had an emotional connection
(borderline obsession) with movies, tv shows. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always been the nerd who
researched the movie before seeing it, read all about it on numerous film blogs, and immediately bought
the most expensive DVD just to watch the special features. Film commentaries, behind the scenes, and
the blooper reel have always been prominent in my life. It might sound silly, but it has always been a
passion of mine. The euphoric experience it must to be able to see your creation come to life in editing to
be able to see this small idea in your head suddenly be visible to the human eye.
What do I love about filmmaking and movies? Movies are a more selective, more attuned and more
neatly edited version of life itself. Film making has improved life. “It’s an experience that I can’t define
or compare to anything else.” “If there was ever a scenario were a different species from another planet,
asked ‘What they think psychologically about people who go and sit with a bunch of strangers in a dark
room and watch 40-foot high versions of themselves kissing being intimate and hurting each other,’ you’d
think, ‘That’s insane. they’re absolutely mad. I love the way we play out the madness on screen, Art
imitating life. “I watch films for the subtle moments that, though often fleeting, offer the most telling
glimpses into the human condition. We’re so lucky to have lived in an era where cinema even exists.
billions lived and died in the darkness. Getting that voracious aspect of going through entertaining,
profound, personal, ridiculous, revealing an unexpected but always unique. There have been so many
great films even in the first 30 years? So, it’s sort of a divine collection of all human aspiration and art
forms.” Watching a movie transports you to a different time, place and story. It allows us to live
vicariously, Movies allow you to escape into another person’s life and experience situations you wouldn’t
normally experience. I’ve seen so many films. That moved me and freaked me out so completely it was
almost like a civil claims court: ‘I needed to know more about who did this to me.’ And the question
became then, ‘Well, can I do this too?
Why I Love the Entire Filmmaking Process, “As someone who routinely goes on (extended editions)
binges, I think it’s fair to say that I love movies. It’s difficult to pinpoint exactly why I love film. One big
factor that is underrated and often trivialized is escapism. Sometimes a movie comes along that creates
such a realistic world that I just want to escape into it over and over. Epic settings and great characters to
fill them are a key factor for me and contribute to the escapism. If I really think about it, the reason I love
film isn’t tangible, it’s the way it makes me feel. It’s like when you read a great book, you enter a world
that is separate from where you are, but you relate to the characters and get lost in the pages. It makes you
happy or sad. It makes you laugh and cry. Movies do that, but more directly. A good film resonates with
you and doesn’t leave your system right away. I know I’ve seen a good movie when I’m still talking
about it the next week. Some of the greatest films I’ve seen have never left my heart and soul, and I hope
they never do. I love filmmaking. Whether that means being featured in front of the cameras, critiquing
films, writing scripts. Being behind the camera or editing a film, is a skill set I’d love to have the
opportunity to explore and protentional succeed in and no matter if it’s a movie, or a short film or a
simple video. Filmmaking is my passion and one of my few hobbies that brings me tremendous joy. I like
imaging myself in movies because that’s really when I can let my creative juices flow. I get to pick my
own original idea or adopt some other piece of writing into my film. I struggle very often with writer’s
block, and sometimes I want to make movies and write scripts, yet I just need ideas. But I can resort to
the internet, my friends or my childhood self. Looking back, I have dozens of pieces of art and old stories
I can adapt if I would like into new modern films and videos.
As I embark on this Journey to learn the art of filmmaking, I anticipated the step by step process crafted
compendium. I believe this will offers a fascinating and insightful look at movies in a perfect neatly
