Sea Turtle Appliqué Crochet Pattern Medium (size 4) yarn (2 colors) G (4.0 mm) hook Thread and needle Stuffing (fiberfil) Key sc-- single crochet de- double crochet tc- triple crochet si- slip stitch ch- chain 1 - color 1 ©2- color 2 Instru ns Shell: start with magic ring #806 (c1) into magic ring, pull magic ring tight, si1 (attach c2) to join (6) # sc2 (02) into each se around, sit to join (12) © ch2 (c2), det (c2) into first sc, *de2 (c1) into next sc, de2 (02) into next sc*, repeat from * to™ 5 times, de2 (c1) into last se, si1 (c2) to join (24) * set (c2) into the front loop of each de around, sit (c2) to join and tie off c2 (24) Body: with the right side of the work facing you, work c1 into the back loops of the dc shell row around: sit into the 1st back loop stitch * Tail: ch4, sc1 into the 2nd ch from the hook, sc1 into the next 2 ch stitches, © sit into next 3 back loop stitches Back fin: chS, sc1 into the 2nd ch from the hook, sc1 into the next ch stitch, dct into next 2 ch stitches skip one back loop stitch, sl1 into next 5 back loop stitches © Frontfin: ch7, sc1 into the 2nd ch from the hook, det into next 3 ch stitches, sc1 into next 2 ch stitches ‘sit into next 2 back loop stitches Head: ch5, sct into the 2nd ch from the hook, det in next ch, tc in next ch, det in next ch, 'sc1 into next back loop stitch sit into next 2 back loop stitches Repeat front fin sit into next 5 back loop stitches Repeat back fin skip one back loop stitch, sI1 into next 3 back loop stitches, si1 to join and tie off c1 ‘Attach your appliqué by sewing just inside the edge of the shell.
