Service Impact due to technical issues with our sorter systems in Novara Hub, Italy
FedEx Express anticipates continued service impacts in Italy today, (7 September, 2023), and over the next few days, due
to technical issues with our sorter systems in Novara Road Hub, Italy.
With immediate effect, all new domestic on call pick-up requests in Italy are suspended until further notice. Regular
domestic pick-up requests will continue as usual, but will suffer service delays to the North West area of Italy.
• There is no impact to FedEx/TNT International Priority shipments
• All FedEx/TNT International road services from Italy to Europe will continue
All Domestic and International road inbound shipments that entered Novara hub as of 6 September, 2023 will
experience significant delays to quoted transit times, especially those items to Lombardia, Piemonte, Liguria and Valle
d'Aosta.

Transit time changes to TNT Economy shipments to Switzerland and Liechtenstein

Due to adjustments in our network, the following transit time changes to TNT Economy shipments to Switzerland
and Liechtenstein with take place with immediate effect.
• TNT Economy and TNT Express will now offer a later cut-off time for International shipping from Switzerland and
Liechtenstein
• Outbound TNT Economy shipments can now be booked later in the day and picked up on the same day
• There will be a one-day transit time improvement for most International outbound TNT Economy shipments from
Switzerland and Liechtenstein
• Improvements to transit times for TNT Economy Express from selected origins **
• A transit time extension of one day for inbound TNT Economy shipments to Switzerland and Liechtenstein from
selected origins **
• Increased ecological sustainability thanks to 2,900 km less driven each day

Removal of 100kg weight restriction to shipments travelling from Europe to New Zealand
We are pleased to announce that with immediate effect, FedEx has removed the 100kg per day weight restriction on
all FedEx Priority and TNT Express shipments travelling from Europe to New Zealand.
FedEx and TNT Economy services remain suspended for shipments travelling from Europe to New Zealand until
further notice.

Removal of restriction on Accessible Dangerous Goods shipments to/from Denmark

With immediate effect, FedEx Express has removed the Accessible Dangerous Goods’ restriction to shipments to/
from Denmark travelling to/from Europe and rest of the world.

FedEx International Priority (IP) and FedEx International Priority Freight (IPF) will now accept Accessible Dangerous
Goods within the standard size and weight limitations of IP and IPF services.

Temporary service restrictions for Accessible Dangerous Goods will remain in place for the following countries until
further notice:

• Accessible Dangerous Goods packages above 32 kg and/or dimensions above 75 cm height and 120 cm width/
length will not be accepted temporarily (in and out): Finland, Norway, Sweden, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Portugal
and Hungary.

For clarity: all Accessible Dangerous Goods packages under 32kg and below 75 cm height and 120 cm width / length
will continue to be accepted to all countries with no impact. There is no restriction on Inaccessible Dangerous Goods
packages.

Information on the Northern Ireland protocol (Windsor Agreement) – Windsor

Framework
FedEx Express welcomes the announcement regarding the trade between Northern Ireland, Great Britain and the EU,
known as the Windsor Agreement.

Further updates have been provided and the Windsor Framework is currently being reviewed in full. New arrangements
for sending parcels from Great Britain to Northern Ireland will be in place from September 30, 2024.
Customers do not need to change anything at this moment in time. Further details will be provided by September
2023.

We will continue to closely monitor the next stages of this process and ensure our customers are informed throughout.

Removal of 100kg weight restriction to shipments travelling from Europe to Australia

With immediate effect, FedEx has removed the 100kg per day, per customer weight restriction on all FedEx
International Priority® and TNT Express shipments travelling from Europe to Australia. All FedEx and TNT Economy
Services will remain suspended.

FedEx International Economy services resumption from Asia Pacific key markets
to Europe
Effective May 2, 2023, FedEx International Economy® services* are reinstated in Asia Pacific (APAC). This service
improvement provides customers with more choices to meet the dynamic international import shipping needs.
Customers are able to import the less time-sensitive shipments from APAC key markets into Europe **.
*FedEx International Economy® services include FedEx International Economy®, FedEx International Economy® Freight and FedEx International
Economy® DirectDistribution.

Temporary TNT Economy service suspension from Europe to MEISA & APAC destinations
Due to adjustments in our network, TNT Economy service will be suspended to some MEISA & APAC destinations as
of 5 June 2023. As an alternative, we recommend customers to use FedEx International Economy and/or TNT Express
services to ship to these regions.

Effective Monday 8 August and until further notice, a restriction on intra-European Express Freight shipments will be
implemented limiting shipments to 500kg per shipment in order to support high demands and ensure we can offer
customers a consistent reliable service. This impacts all European shipping lanes, and applies to both FedEx and TNT
products.

Amendments to PPE export policy for India
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Department of Commerce, Government of India has amended the
export policy of medical goggles and nitrile or NBR gloves under the ITC HS Codes mentioned below.
