Regulation Uniform

Year 9 2023

The new uniform is an inter-seasonal capsule uniform – which means it can be worn at all times of the year, using
a variety of combinations. We have also introduced a lavalava and a headscarf, to better reflect our cultural
diversity.

COMPULSORY 2023 YEAR 9 UNIFORM RANGE


The regulations include compulsory purchase of:
• Blazer
• Tie
• Soft Shell Jacket
• One or more items of knitwear
• One or more of the following: Skirt, Shorts, Trousers

Blazer Regulation BHS blazer, fitted or non-fitted

Soft-shell jacket Regulation BHS soft-shell jacket – green with navy trim

Tie Regulation BHS tie

Knitwear Regulation BHS cardigan, sleeveless vest or V-necked jersey

Short-sleeved shirt Regulation BHS green and white striped shirt, fitted or non-fitted

Long-sleeved shirt Regulation BHS green and white striped shirt, fitted or non-fitted

Skirt Regulation BHS navy skirt with pocket and pleats to be worn below the knee

Shorts Regulation BHS navy shorts, fitted or non-fitted

Trousers Regulation BHS navy trousers, fitted or non-fitted

Socks Regulation BHS short navy socks with green trim

Tights Navy

Shoes Traditional school style leather shoes (black)


 Must be black shoes with black soles
 Heels must be between 1cm and 4 cm high
 Students may choose lace-up, slip-on, buckled T-bar or U-bar style
The following are NOT PERMITTED
 Suede or canvas shoes
 Platform shoes
 Boots – Shoe must come below the ankle bone

Scarf Regulation BHS green and navy scarf
Note: Head scarves worn for religious reasons must be the BHS navy headscarf

Lavalava BHS Regulation Lavalava

Gloves Plain dark navy or black

Bucket hat BHS regulation BHS green bucket hat

Beanie BHS regulation BHS navy beanie

Tracksuit (optional) Regulation BHS green and white tracksuit


To be worn ONLY for Physical Education or Sports

*PLEASE NOTE:
The BHS uniform is only available at the Burnside High School Uniform Shop.
