Asset Installation Guide for Dummies

By Liindy

(I tried to make it as easy to understand as possible for people with no unity experience)

Alternatively watch the video guide.

Things you need:

You must have Poiyomi Toon shader version 8.0.426 (newer versions should be fine).
You can download it free here: https://github.com/poiyomi/PoiyomiToonShader/releases

You must get Avatar 3.0 Manager v2.0.6 (newer versions should be fine)
You can download it free here: https://github.com/VRLabs/Avatars-3.0-Manager

You must also have an avatar ready to install it on, this guide will not teach you how to upload an avatar,
only how to attach the Shotgun correctly to it.
Finally, you must have the “ShotgunPrefab.unitypackage” file ready

Step 1 - Importing
Step 2 – Resize

Step 3 – Armature placement

Step 4 – Fitting to your avatar
Step 5 – Texture
Step 6 – Merging animations
Step 7 – READ THIS IF YOU USE QUEST CONTROLLERS
Here is a reminder of how the gesture controls work:

◽Toggle on in menu

◽Grab with fist

◽Let go with open hand on hip or over your shoulder to equip
◽Open both hands to drop in world
◽Swap hand by moving hands close together, then opening the one with the shotgun
◽Open shotgun with rocker gesture, or do a snapping motion with your hand
◽Grab shell and place it in the barrel to load it
◽Close shotgun, then use trigger (or thumbs up if you use quest controller) to fire
◽Grab handle with other hand to two-hand
◽Select other shells in menu to use other shells
