SOLIDWORKS
AUTOCAD (Mechanical) AERONAUTICAL RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT WING SRI LANKA 6 JUN 2022 - 18 NOV
AIR FORCE 2022
ANSYS Aeronautical Electromechanical Engineer
During a six-month internship, I served as an Aeronautical Electromechanical Engineer within
PLC PROGRAMMING
the Aeronautical Research and Development wing of the Sri Lanka Air Force. Throughout this
AUTODESK EAGLE training tenure, my responsibilities encompassed various facets of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle
(UAV) development and maintenance. This included contributing to UAV airframe design and
NI MULTISIM airflow simulations, overseeing wiring of UAVs, collaborating on autopilot and flight controller
systems, UAV engine maintenance, and actively participating in both UAV flight operations
MATLAB SIMULINK and maintenance activities. This hands-on experience afforded me a comprehensive
understanding of aeronautical electromechanical systems and strengthened my practical
IBM SPSS skills in the field.

INITIAL STEP OF DEVELOPING SELF DRIVING UNMANNED
RASPBERRY PI GROUND VEHICLE (DEVOLOPMENT OF GPS CONTROLLED SELF
DRIVING MOBILE ROBOT FOR INDUSTRIAL PACKAGE DELIVERY)
This project continues as my final year project. It was produced according to a requirement of
INTERESTS the Aeronautical Research and Development wing of the Sri Lanka Air Force. This GPS
controlled self-driving mobile robot designed to delivery packages in outdoor environments
+ Industrial Automation and Control
Using Self driving vehicle capabilities. The purpose of this project is to automate the
transportation of the packages required to manufacture UAV from the gate to the hangers and
+ Mechatronics
between hangers in an industry with a large scale area like AR&DW Sri Lanka Air Force.
+ IOT & Web Services
+ Hybrid and Automobile Technology During my internship training I develop a project focused on enhancing the safety of the
Lihiniya MK I UAV by implementing a real-time engine temperature monitoring system. The
primary objective was to develop a solution that could accurately measure the engine
temperature during flight and transmit the data to the ground station for immediate analysis
LANGUAGES and monitoring.
SINHALA
REMOTE FIRING SYSTEM
ENGLISH During my internship training, I spearheaded a project focused on developing remote firing
system. This system works by using image processing. The primary objective was to create a
system capable of automatically or manually identifying targets without the need for direct
soldier involvement, thereby minimizing the risk to human life in combat scenarios.
3D PRINTER
AR&DW in Sri Lanka Air Force, there was a requirement for a 3D printer to facilitate the
production of small-scale parts. To address this need, I was involved in the development of a
small-scale 3D printer capable of efficiently printing the required small scale parts.
