This document outlines the scheme of work for an optics and waves course. It covers several topics including reflection and refraction, optical instruments, photometry, sound waves, and the electromagnetic spectrum. The course will examine reflection and refraction at plane surfaces, total internal reflection, thin lenses, and optical defects. It will also explore optical instruments like microscopes, telescopes, and spectrometers. Students will learn about light measurement, sound waves, resonance, and interference including the Doppler effect. The electromagnetic spectrum and wave emission/absorption are also included.
