In this study, we employed the Raosoft sampling method calculator to determine the required
sample size. The calculator considered a population size of [X] and specified a confidence
level of 95% with a margin of error set at 5%. The calculated sample size was [N]. We then
utilized a sampling frame consisting of [describe the sampling frame]. The sampling
procedure involved [describe the steps taken to implement the sample]. It's important to note
that the calculated sample size exceeded the available population; however, we addressed this
by [explain any adjustments made]. The limitations of this method include [mention any
limitations or biases], and ethical considerations were taken into account by ensuring
[describe ethical considerations]. This approach allows us to generalize our findings to the
broader population with a reasonable level of confidence.
The population under the study is among INTEC Education College students at a foundation
level. There are approximately 500 students in the college who are in the two divisions of the
department which are Pre-University and Diploma Centre (PUDC) and also Professional
Accounting Centre (PAC). They are students in the foundations level from various field of
major such as accounting, engineering, sciences, business, economic and social science. At
least a total of 220 students will be the sample size of the study. This is because to make an
estimation of the incidence of phenomenon of the population and to minimize error of
parameter estimation with high level of confidence. The tolerable margin of error is within
5% and the level of confidence is within 95%. A quantitative approach has been
considered in this study by using a questionnaire distribution. The method used in this
study was simple random sampling. The student ID number was collected and listed using
Microsoft Excel software. Each number is then generated by the software and randomly
chosen. This method is also known as "drawing a hat," but it employs a computer generator.
