TASK: 1. TO PACK PROPERLY AND REMOVE ANY DEFECTED PIPE BEFORE PACKING
2. INFORM THE QC TO INSPECT THE DEFECTED PIPE

4. AT THE END OF SHIFT, SORT & PACK ACCORDING TO DEFECT CATEGORY

1 OPEN SEAM
Description:
Openning at weld area

Root of cause:
1. Setting during size change

2 SHORT
Description:
Pipe length less than 5995mm.

Root of cause:
1. Not lift the encoder during

3 JOINT
Description:
Pipe joint in the middle & spray
with orange colour

Root of cause:
1. Joinning new coil
4 OVERLAPPED
Description:
Overlapped weld seam.

Root of cause:
1. Coil wavy
2. SQ roller set up wrong
3. Fin pass broken
4. SGV roller top need reprofile

5. Not grind joint enough causing

5 POOR WELDING
Description:
Pipe lack of weld seam can cause
leakage "pin hole". Can be
detected by inspect the weld
bead

Root of cause:
1. Speed not suitable with HFW
power output
2. Coil burr high

6 POOR SCARFING
Description:
Pipe weld seam "top" poorly scuff

Root of cause:
1. Scuffing insert broken
4 LINE MARK
Description:
Scratch mark at pipe surface

Root of cause:
1. Scratch from hoop cage
2. Scratch from cut saw clamp
3. Scratch from roller stand
bottom FV1, FV2, FV3, FV4

5 DENTED
Description:
Dented occur at pipe surface

Root of cause:
1. Poor handling

6 BEND
Description:
Pipe straightness out by visually
inspect

Root of cause:
1. Turkhead adjustment
