FOUNDER’S DAY CELEBRATION SCRIPT

Happy: Honored guests: (acknowledge the visitors), a delightful morning to all

of us.

Throughout the centuries, there were men who took the first steps down new
roads armed with nothing but their own vision. One of these men was our
Founder, Sir Willy B. Wenceslao, who dreamt of a learning institution that
would realize his ideals for the young minds in the coming generation. What
was once a dream, once a vision, now has become a reality—standing tall and
proud for 10 years—The Willy B. Wenceslao Memorial National High School.

Jobeth: This instant, may I request everyone to please rise for the honouring of the
country to be followed by the singing of Sugbu Hymn and School Hymn to be
conducted by the MAPEH Coordinator, Ms. Edellene May C. Juguilon.

(LupangHinirang, Sugbu Hymn, School Hymn)

Happy: You may now take your seats. Founder’s Day is a season of celebrating the
school’s past, present and future. Our Founder paved the way for a school that
fosters good leadership, excellence and values. This day is when we pause to
celebrate its rich past and promising future—the past as we honor our founder
who dared to dream of a school; the future as we continue to move forward,
bringing with us the flaming passion entrusted to us by our Founder.

In recognition of the importance of both the past and the future, may I call on
our dynamic and energetic school head, Mrs. Bernardita F. Arias for her
welcome remarks. Let us give her a round of applause.

(Welcome Remarks)

Jobeth: Thank you very much, Mrs. Arias. As we gather here today and celebrate the
1oth Founder’s Day of this school, we recognize the four pillars of this
institution: The Home, The Students, The School and The Founder through
these candles.

(Candle-Lighting Ceremony)

Happy: The white candle for the Home will be lighted by the General PTA President,
Mrs. Liezelda F. Rusiana.

The White candle represents unity.

Here, the child learns all the joy of the family life. Here, the child receives his
first knowledge of the world in which he is to live. May the enduring light of
the home cast its glowing rays throughout the world, shielding everywhere
from darkness of want and misery, giving them instead and abundance of
health, happiness and love.
Jobeth: The Green Candle for the Students will be lighted by the school principal, Mrs.
Bernardita F. Arias.

The Green candle represents success and abundance.

Now the home and the school are shining brightly, the parents and the
teachers—the two parts of our great organization. But there is something
lacking. How futile, how empty, how meaningless are our efforts, if there is
not the love and interest of children in the center, binding the two in a
common cause. Our Founders spoke wisely when they said, “The child is the
hope of the race.” As I light this candle for the child, may I urge to remember
the object of the founders.

Happy: The Violet Candle for the School will be lighted by the Public Schools District
Supervisor, Dr. Elias A. Concha.

The Violet candle symbolizes brain power and intellect.

It is in tribute to the schools of our land. This candle stands equal with the
home, sharing, but not supplanting the great responsibility of guiding and
helping our children and youth. We seek for our schools the best in education
our country has to offer, in order that they may develop more intelligent and
useful citizens. We desire that our schools be a bright and shining light,
guiding our children to knowledge, wisdom and understanding.

Jobeth: The Red Candle for the Founder will be lighted by the School Benefactor, Hon.
Julie S. Wenceslao.

The Red candle represents passion and love.

As we pay tribute to our Founders by the lighting of this candle, let us
remember the key bequeathed to us by our Founders that has been faithfully
cherished, and the finest tribute we can pay them is to pursue their ideals with
determined labor for full accomplishment.

Happy: Let us all give a round of applause as all the candles were lighted (pause)
symbolizing the flames of unity, intellect, success, passion, and hope that
these flames will continue to light as it passed on to the coming generations.

Jobeth: At this point, may I call on Hon. Jesusa J. Estano, Chairman of The
Committee
on Education, to read the Founder’s Memorial. A round of applause please.

(Reading)

Jobeth: Thank you, Hon. Estano. As S.Y. 2022-2023 opens, new sets of officers were
elected to lead for the welfare of the school. At this juncture, may I call on our
municipal mayor, Hon. Marites B. Buscato, to be the inducting officer for the
induction of the newly-elected faculty club officers. Let us give her a big hand.
(Induction)

Happy: Congratulations to our newly-elected and inducted set of officers. Let us give
them a resounding applause. We hope that as we cross our new endeavor, we
would all work together, hand-in-hand, to pursue and realize the ideals of our
founder.

Jobeth: And now, to give her message to all of us let us all give our booming
applause
to the beloved school benefactor, Hon. Julie S. Wenceslao.

(Message)

Happy: Thank you very much, Hon. Wenceslao. Indeed, it is a great privilege for us
to
be one of your beneficiaries and we promise to spread your family’s legacy
through producing a more globally-competitive individuals despite the
challenges life has to offer.

Jobeth: Definitely, we are grateful. The theme for this year’s Founder’s Day is
“Embracing the New Normal towards a decade of service and commitment.
Truly, ______________________________________________.

At this moment, may we have here on stage our Faculty President, Mr. Warren
Aviso for the acknowledgment.

(Acknowledgment)

Happy: Thank you, Mr. Aviso and thank you everyone for celebrating this day with
us.

Jobeth: Watch out for the next part of our program which is the Fellowship. Games
and prizes await us.

Happy: We have been your masters of the ceremony, Happy P. Batusin.

Jobeth: And Jobeth M. Dangculos.

Both: Saying goodbye and keep safe everyone!
