Format for Minor Project Synopsis


Title page: (Sample page given at end of the document)

Introduction: (should not exceed 3 pages)


The introduction part will include the brief introduction about the project to be
developed, the technology used, the field of the project (if specialized one), any special
technical terms about the project.

Objective:
The objective of the project should be in bullets.

Feasibility Study: (should not exceed 1 page)


This will describe the very first step of software engineering i.e. feasibility study
of the project that includes the feasibility, need and significance of the project

Methodology/ Planning of work (should not exceed 1 page)


The methodology will include the steps to be followed to achieve the objective of the
project during the project development.

Project is a Research Based Project or Application based Project

Research-Based Project

a) Research Gap Identified

After reading a research paper the gaps which are identified

Application Based Project

a) Software/Hardware requirements

Software/Hardware required for the development of the project.


b) benefits of the project for the society

Bibliography
Here specify the description of the study material referred for the development of the
project.
SPECIFICATIONS FOR SYNOPSIS

1. The synopsis shall be computer typed (English- British, Font -Times Roman, Size-12
point) and printed on A4 size paper.

2. The Synopsis shall be typed on one side only with double space with a margin 3.5 cm
on the left, 2.5 cm on the top, and 1.25 cm on the right and at thebottom.

3. The diagrams should be printed on a light/white background, Tabular matter should


be clearly arranged. The decimal point may be indicated by a full stop(.)The caption
for Figure must be given at the BOTTOM of the Fig. and Caption for the Table must
be given at the TOP of the Table.

Figures Should Be Represented in the following format:

Figure 1.4: Radial Distribution System.

Tables Should Be Represented in the following format:


TABLE 1.1: Zone-wise Categorization of Sample Distribution 1
