1.0 Introduction.

According to Cambridge Dictionary globalization is a condition in which available

goods and services, or social and cultural influences, gradually become almost similar
in all parts of the world. Other dictionaries like Encyclopedia Britannica have given
globalization as a process where everyone's experiences and lifestyles become the
standard around the world. In addition, Philip Conrad Says globalization is a situation
that includes several series of processes, in which each country attempts to foster
global change. Globalization as a process of changing human life towards one society
only. Last but not least, George Modelski describes globalization as a process of large
power dominance to mold the global community's "World View '' in terms of economics,
politics, and democracy.
A world without borders, or as it is commonly referred to as globalization is
expanding rapidly throughout the world due to the advancement of information and
communication technology. a vast and unlimited life process that includes all aspects of
life, including political, social and economic components. The development of
globalization allows connections between countries all over the world. Human
communication activities can be done in a very short period of time.

2.0 Four Implications Of Globalization.

2.1 Long Distance Communication Is Easier, Faster And Cheaper.

The most obvious effect of globalization that we can see is long distance
communication is easier, faster and cheaper. Communication between people becomes
easier and the systems are becoming more sophisticated and can contact people
around the world. For example, parents can easily get in touch with their children who
are studying or working abroad by using WhatsApp, telegram WeChat and various
applications that are available to communicate with those who are far away or nearby
us. Lessons in school will become easier and information can be communicated to
everyone around the world. For instance, we may witness this during the covid
pandemic time, when practically all countries limit their inhabitants from leaving their
houses and numerous activities are halted as a result. However, this situation cannot
prevent the learning process from happening without needing to meet at the school,
teachers can continue to instruct their students. They can teach their students using
google meet, google classroom even if their students don't have time. Teachers still can
record learning videos and give them to their students through the communication
application that mentioned above or upload them on youtube to be watched by the
whole country at any time. This method can also be used for online meetings with
colleagues or businesses from other countries.

2.2 Globalization Can Advance The Economy Of A Country

Globalization can advance the economy of a country, and each country will be
able to trade freely in order to strengthen their economy. This may be seen in the
economies of industrialized countries that have grown to be powerful, such as the
United States, China, Russia and so on. Most people must recognize the name of these
countries because these countries are suppliers to other countries. For example, one of
the nations with the biggest impacts on the global economy is China. They are known
as the country that carries the most various goods in the whole country. This can be
seen with many items on the market that are made in china. They promote their
products through live streaming promotional events, product marketing on online
purchasing platforms (e-commerce), which are visible in many different nations
worldwide, and a variety of other strategies like TikTok shop, Shopee, ads on YouTube
and so on, this can increase the value of their currency and economy.

5
2.3 Causes Numerous Types Of problems.

Globalization causes numerous types of problems like air pollution, water

pollution, Overfishing of the oceans, degradation of the natural environment. For
example, air pollution that occurs due to the increase in industrial factories and vehicles,
this happens because the demand for vehicles and goods increases as a result of the
increase in the population from the country itself and the population from foreign
countries residing in the country. As a result of this situation, the country will experience
air pollution and can also result in noise pollution. But the problem does not stop there,
over time it can also cause loss of fertility, landslides, floods, and many other problems
related to the environment.

2.4 Cultural Pollution Is A Result Of Globalization.

In this era of globalization we can see cultural pollution happening around us,
there is no need to look for examples from foreign countries, just look at our own
country. We can see that so many young people are influenced by western culture
through the internet and television. They follow the wild culture and practice hedonistic

6
culture. As a result of this issue, our youth will lose sight of who they are, morality and
religious beliefs deteriorate and their sense of national pride will diminish. For instance,
we can see that Malaysia, which is the official religion of this country is Islam, which has
influenced LGBT and there are also those supporters from the Muslims themselves.

3.0 Conclucion.

In conclusion, globalization has an impact on every country, whether it be

positive or negative economically, politically and socio-culturally. The people of the world
need to equip themselves with knowledge and religion in order to filter out the negative
impacts of globalization. Thus, the benefits of globalization are substantial.
