I. OBJECTIVES:

 Articulate the relevance of mathematics.


 To identify the patterns in natures and regulatories in the world.
 Show appreciation of mathematics as a human undertaking.

II. PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE

My previous knowledge is that somehow it is very familiar for me


especially those patterns that we had learned since we are in our elementary
days. Mathematics is all around where we can use it in our lives. That’s why
is not new for us since we all encountered this in everyday living.

III. NEW KNOWLEDGE

My new knowledge about this topic is Mathematics is everywhere. I


just learned it here and discovered more about the mathematics where
mathematics relies on both logic and creativity. It reveals hidden patterns
that help us understand the world around us. Mathematics play such a
central role in modern society, some simple ones understanding of the
nature of mathematics. Especially for us as a student, it really help us add
more knowledge and improve those skills and ideas that we had learned
before which it is related in this topic.

B. In Mathematics the Fibonacci numbers commonly denoted in form


of sequence, called the Fibonacci sequence such that each number is the
sum of two preceding ones starting from 0 and 1. The Fibonacci sequence
is a set of numbers that with a one or a zero, followed by a one and
proceeds based on the rules that each number is equal to the sum of the
preceding two numbers. Fibonacci are strongly related to the golden ratio.
Binet`s formula expresses the nth Fibonacci numbers in term of
consecutive Fibonacci numbers tends to the goldin ratio as n increases.
Fibonacci numbers appears unexpectedly often in mathematics so much
so that there is an entire journal dedicated to their study the Fibonacci
quarterly. Application of Fibonacci number include computer algorithms
such as the Fibonacci heap data structure and graph called fibonacci
cubes used for interconnecting parallel and distribute sytems.

- As a student who is weak in mathematics this is the most difficult


subject because no matter what you understand it`s really hard . I
wont to learn but have hard time to catching up.

1. What new ideas about mathematics did you learn?


As a 1st fist tear college I learn other topics lesson that were
not fully or studied when I was in senior high.

2. What is it about mathematics that might have changed your


thoughts about it?
For me, I thought that it was just about solving a problem but
now, I knew a lot and learned that mathematics is everywhere
where we can apply it in our daily lives.

3. What is the most useful about mathematics for human kind?


Mathematics help us have better problem-solving skills.
Analytical thinking and reasoning can help us solve all
problems and have a solution on it.

4. What is the importance of Mathematics in your course of which


you are enrolled?
Mathematics is efficient way to develop our mental discipline
and promote logical thinking and mental rigor. Aside from that,
mathematics has a big role in understanding the content no

V. GENERALIZATION

Mathematics is the study of numbers quantities, shape and


measurement, and how they relate to each other think of mathematics
as the science of how we used and interrupt the things around in using
numbers. Remember that number represent a quality. Archimedes (287
BC -212 BC) his known as a father mathematics and Hypatia (c.355-
415) was the woman known to have taught mathematics. There are five
main branches of mathematics this are Algebra, Geometry,
Trigonometry, Calculus, Statistics, and Probability. When mathematical
structures are good models of real phenomena mathematical reasoning
can be used to provide insight or prediction about nature. Through the
use of abstractions and logic, mathematics develop from counting
calculation measurement, and the systematic study of the shapes and
motion of physical objects. Practical mathematics has been human
activity from as far as written records exist.
