Identify SCC 1. Look at the system number on the sticker on the front of the SCC and
Type compare to the list below to determine the SCC Platform type.
System Number SCC Platform
10000 - 19999 D
20000 - 29999 E
30000 - 39999 F
40000 - 49999 F+
50000 - 69999 F_WIN7
2. If the SCC is a Platform D or E, DO NOT CONTINUE this procedure. The
SCC must be a Platform F or higher SCC licensed for Windows 7.
3. If the SCC is a Platform F or F+ then locate the Windows Certificate of
Authenticity label(s) on the SCC cover. If only the Windows 2000 label is
present on the cover and the SCC still has a floppy drive, then perform
TSB 116-129, TSB 126-089, or TSB 127-060 Upgrade to Windows 7 to
upgrade the Windows operating system to Windows 7.
Note: Platform F and F+ SCCs that have had the TSB(s) performed to
upgrade the operating system to Windows 7, will have two Windows
Certificate of Authenticity labels (Windows 2000 & Windows 7) on the
SCC cover, and will not have a floppy drive installed.

Maintenance up in the To do maintenance list. Follow the procedure below to reset the Maintenance
Due Dates Last Performed dates of each of these items based on the date of installation. Due Dates in
Appendix A
Note: More detailed instructions for performing these steps can be found in
Appendix A.
1. If items are not showing in the Maintenance To do list, perform a SCC
shutdown and restart, then cycle power for each processing module. The
processing module(s) must be in the Ready status before continuing.
2. For each processing module select System, Maintenance, Module, To
do and perform the steps 3-5.
3. Advance through each Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly maintenance
item as if performing each step. It is not necessary to actually perform the
steps since this is a new installation. When done, the Last Performed date
will be updated to show the current date of installation.
4. In the Maintenance Log, type the following (or similar) note in the
Comment box for each Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly
maintenance item (cut and paste technique may be used): Last
performed date reset by Abbott representative at date of installation
(FSR name and date).
5. When done, verify in the Maintenance Log for each processing module,
that asterisks appear in the boxes for all Daily, Weekly, Monthly and
Quarterly items, indicating a note has been added to the Details.
6. Select Done and Exit F1.

Set Bar Code 1. Perform option 4 of Diagnostic 3253 (System, Diagnostics, Module 5,
