II. COMMUNITY ACTION PLAN

Statement of the problem
Most people claim to care for the environment, but what people care for and the
motives for their concern are vastly different. People see the
environment as a ”common” that is open to anyone being overused
and deteriorated. For immediate personal gain, individuals continue to
manipulate the environment, ignoring the long-term consequences of their
behaviour. Sustaining the environment helps prevent global warming
and climate change. One example of the sustainability of the environment
is simply cleaning. Environmental cleanliness adds a lot to keeping a clean and
green environment. An easy but beneficial way to improve a safe environment is
cleaning. Grade 12- Fantastic founded by a group of senior high school
students from Kibungsod Senior High School. The organization aims to foster a
community with a sense of responsibility by empowering young students and
people through projects and campaigns. We want to help the school campus
stay clean and have an environment that is favourable to every person living in the
barangay since we want a litter-free environment and a tree-filled environment.
Rationale
Our team will conduct a clean-up drive in area of the Kibungsod Senior High
School. We are going to have a companion as well of the other senior high
school students. The duty of each section is to maintain cleanliness in their area.
In the said event, the students of each section are expected to participate. Grade
12 Fantastic will also reducing the waste in the compost pit to promote organic
soil for gardening. The other sections will also organize and distinguished in
different area. This project deals with activities that would raise
awareness of different aspects through a clean-up drive activity.

 Teach fun and easy way of composting and recycling plastic materials.
EXPECTED OUTPUT
The expected outcome of the Clean-Up Drive Activity, is for the students to
introduce and become aware of the importance of proper waste disposal
and maintaining cleanliness in their area. The prospect of the clean-up drive

BUDGET FOR THE PROJECT

Since the area was only in the campus of Kibungsod National their no need to fund a
budget because, Student Leaders were assigned their classmates to bring their own
cleaning materials such as dust pan, soap, pail, trash bags, broomsticks, scraper,
rags, and gloves. “It is the main objective of the Clean-Up Drive to promote
cleanliness and healthful environment around the campus for all Kibnasians as well
as other people,” said Grade 12- Fantastic Class President Noel Castrodes. The
Clean-Up Drive is held annually to raise awareness among students to dedicate
themselves to community services for the benefit of the school campus and also to
the society. This event is also the perfect opportunity for its participants to realize
how a clean environment would contribute a better change to its surroundings.

NARRATIVE REPORT ON CLEAN-UP DRIVE

To secure a clean environment, pollution free surroundings, promoting and
adopting an environmentally friendly school, Kibungsod National High School
initiate a clean-up drive with the support of the Principal of the school Mrs.
Gilbert D. Bailo and Senior High School Teachers and Grade 12 Fantastic
Students together with the other sections of Grade 12 Senior High School
students. The Clean-up Drive headed by the SHS COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
SOLIDARITY AND CITIZENSHIP teacher, Mrs. Stephanie D. Castillon was
successfully done on March 25, 2022.
The Clean-up Drive was introduced to the students and encourage adoption of
practices like recycling, that can have a profound effect on waste management in
the community. A clean-up drive can also bring about a sense of community and
responsibility to keep our homes and common areas safe and clean. Visible
results might lead to a heightened interest and involvement among community
members in reducing garbage and food waste, and preserving the
environment.
The said activity, truly signifies the importance of partnership in creating a
conducive learning environment for the learners and in the community.

RESULTS AND EVALUATION

A clean-up drive activity can not only reduce pollution, but – by sorting students’
trash and recycling as much as possible. Then can help to teach students about
recycling and about activities that will reduce the neighborhood’s carbon footprint.
Also clean environment promotes a safe workplace for students and teachers. It
will help to keep bacteria, viruses, and illnesses away. Also, we can maintain
cleanliness by not littering and letting others litter. We should not throw garbage
here and there. Students and teachers tend to take more pride in their work, be
more productive, and are more particular about safety. Effective cleaning can
result in fewer slips, trips and falls (STF) accidents.
