1. Strategic Urban Planning- focuses on setting high level goals and determining desired areas
of growth of a city or metropolitan area. The result of planning process is Strategic Plan
(Strategic plan, development plan, core strategy, comprehensive plan)

Strategic plan's goals may include


- easing transportation throughout the city
- creating more community spaces
- improving citizen's quality of life
- encouraging people to visit or move to the city
