Course Description: Know the tools of decision making, acquisition of farm resources and management of farm enterprise

COURSE POLICIES AND STANDARDS
The following policies are to be observed and implemented inside the classroom by both the Instructor and Students.
1. Wearing of prescribed uniform and PPE

4. Regular class attendance. Every student is encourage to attend class sessions regularly. Punctuality in the class should be observe. Late comers shall not
be allowed to enter the classroom and he/she shall be considered absent during that period. Ten absences in the class is equivalent to dismissal from the
roster of the class. Absences shall be credited only upon presentation of valid paper/s duly certified by an authorized person.
5. Homework: All homeworks given by the instructor shall be submitted on time. Late submission of homework is not encourage and will be given a grade of
4.0. Non- submission of homework during the semester is equivalent to a grade of 5.0. Further, each student should avoid plagiarism

6. Quizzes: There will be announced and unannounced quizzes during the semester. Each students is expected to be prepared every session. A students who
has no quiz shall earn a grade of 5.0. There shall be no special quiz to be given to any student who is absent but not excused.
7. Class participation: An active participation is encouraged in every student. He/she is free to express his/her ideas, opinions, suggestions and comments
about a particular topic provided that he/she may not distract, monopolize and derail the class discussion. Academic freedom of both the instructor and
students should be observed.
8. Major examinations: Each student is expected to take the major examinations (midterm and final term) during the semester. He/she should pass the
examinations to be able to pass the course. If a student fails to take the examination, he/she shall incur a grade of INC. He/she shall be allowed to take the
examination upon presentation of valid reason/s with supporting document.
9. Laboratory/projects. The students are required to submit a compiled laboratory exercises or project. The laboratory exercises/project will measure the
application of knowledge and skills in the subject taken. Late and non-submission of laboratory exercises/project is highly discouraged and it shall be given
a grade of 5.0.

10. Portfolio: Each students should have a portfolio that will serve as record of the performance, achievement and learning in the subject. As a student, you are
reminded to kept this portfolio. This portfolio shall be submitted to the instructor for recording purposes of your final grade. Lost portfolio means Incomplete
(INC) in the final grade.
11. On-the-spot recitation. Each students should always be prepared before entering the classroom because they will always pick up question inside the
magic box that has been provided by the instructor before the start of formal class. This activity help to measure if all of the topics discussed retained in their
mind. Students who could not answer questions will not earn points in that particular session.
12. Other related activities. Each students are required to have an actual slaughtering of poultry and swine. They must process five (5) meat products, five
(5) processed milk and five(5) processed egg. Culminating activity will be done one week before the final examination to showcase their output in the subject.
