Experiment

This document describes an experiment where balloons are exposed to an open flame from a candle to test whether they will pop. In the experiment, an air-filled balloon pops when exposed to the flame, while a balloon filled with both water and air is able to withstand the flame without popping. The water absorbs much of the heat from the flame, preventing a rapid increase in temperature that would cause the air-filled balloon to pop.
