 Cosmetic Changes

• E5-2L server chassis is 19mm longer in front compared to X9-2/2L and older gens
• To match E5-2L server depth new blank and vented cosmetic filler panels were developed
• New parts will not be ready in time to support RR, mid-April estimated cut-in

• Mini Cat6A cables (Mini6) were adopted in place of Cat5E

• This aligns ED On-Prem with OCI rack BOMs 5.0 – 5.2
• Space inside CMAs and around U21 MGT switch is improved mm dia.
• Qualified Mini6 cable colors were only Black, Red, Green

move the bundle to the middle wireform bracket for shipment

Cabling Improvements

• To reduce 3m power cord bulk in front of the PDU body,

PDUA cables now loop around the side where possible
(similar to PDUB on X9M)

 PDU Options

• Vertiv RMII chip shortages threatened the adoption of PDUs without functional displays or
monitoring ports (Non-Functioning Network ‘NFN’)
• ED X10M BOMs were setup for both functional and NFN PDUs
• Recent supply chain improvements have likely eliminated the need to support any NFN PDU order

• IF an order books with NFN PDUs…

o A cover label will be applied to the

monitor to physically block cable
insertion and hide the non-functioning
screen (HUCD design)

o PDU MGT cables will ship ride along in

the event the PDUs are upgraded in field
