Project Proposal Sanchez
Department of Education
REGION V
SCHOOLS DIVISION OF CAMARINES SUR
NABUA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
ACTIVITY PROPOSAL
5. Goals/Objectives:
The activity aims to:
a. raise awareness about a specific health issue or concern through the sports event.
b. encourage students to participate in physical activity by taking part in the sports event
6. Implementing Unit/Office: Nabua National High School, San Miguel, Nabua, Camarines Sur
7. Overview/Rationale:
The Department of Education, in line with Executive Order No. 64, s. 1993, embraces a national policy
and program of "Sports for All" that aims to make physical fitness and sports accessible to all students,
irrespective of their age, gender, talent, and capabilities, through organized sports competitions. As an
integral part of this policy, organizing sports events in secondary schools, such as the proposed Project
SPEED (Sportsmanship Program and Engaging Events for Health Development), can serve as an
opportunity for integrative assessment, benefiting Grade 11 students in ABM, STEM, and TVL programs.
The integrative assessment encompasses a holistic approach to evaluating student growth and
development, taking into account various aspects of their well-being. Through sports events, an integrative
assessment framework can be applied, providing a comprehensive evaluation of students' physical, social,
and emotional progress.
Firstly, participating in sports events promotes physical fitness and encourages regular physical activity,
fostering healthier lifestyles among students. Integrative assessment can track improvements in students'
physical capabilities, such as cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, and coordination, reflecting their
overall physical development.
Secondly, sports events offer opportunities for students to develop teamwork and collaboration skills,
which are essential for their personal and academic growth. Integrative assessment can observe and
evaluate students' abilities to communicate effectively, cooperate, and contribute positively to a team
environment.
Thirdly, sports events foster a sense of community and school spirit, promoting a positive school culture.
Integrative assessment can measure students' engagement, social interactions, and the sense of belonging
they experience during these events.
By organizing Project SPEED, the school not only supports the Department of Education's policy on
"Sports for All" but also integrates assessment practices that extend beyond academic achievements. This
initiative embraces a comprehensive approach to evaluating students' physical, social, and emotional well-
being, contributing to their overall development. Through integrative assessment, the school can gain
valuable insights into the progress and growth of students in the ABM, STEM, and TVL programs, further
enhancing their educational experience and promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Dear Sir,
As a school, we aim to provide our students with a holistic formation that nurtures their capacity to become
responsible citizens of our country. One of the ways we can achieve this is by engaging them in sports
activities that promote teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition.
In this regard, I am writing to request your kind permission for the Grade 11 ABM, STEM, and TVL Track
students to have their culminating activity in HOPE 2 as part of their final subject requirement. The event will
take place on June 8-9, 2023.
I would like to request that the students be excused from their classes during the aforementioned dates to
participate in the culminating activity. Additionally, I would like to reserve the venue NNHS Civic Center as it
will serve as the main area for the conduct of the activity.
We firmly believe that this culminating activity for the Grade 11 ABM, STEM, and TVL Track students will not
only help them apply the knowledge and skills they have learned but also help develop their physical and
social well-being. Thus, we kindly ask for your support in providing them with this opportunity to showcase their
talents and sportsmanship.
Thank you for your continued support in molding our students to become well-rounded individuals.
Sincerely yours,
