is my favourite cricket player. I always play cricket
with my friends in the playground near my house.

The name of my school is Boys’ High School and
College. It is one of the most popular schools in the
city. My school building is big and beautiful. There is a
huge playground where I can play many games. My
school has big and airy classrooms, science lab, library,
canteen and a big swimming pool. We celebrate
national festivals and various events at our school. My
school teachers are very kind and caring towards
everyone. I love to go to school because there I learn
so many new things daily. I am proud to study in this
school.

PICTURE COMPREHENSION
LESSON-1 Tiny and Tomatoes

Tiny was seven years old. She liked to eat fruit, bread and
butter. She liked cakes and biscuits. But she did not like
tomatoes. She did not like tomato soup and tomato salad. “I
just don’t like tomatoes,” said Tiny.
One day Tiny’s teacher came to visit. Mother served tea and
tomato sandwiches. The teacher picked up one sandwich and
bit into it. “This is very nice,” said the teacher. “Tiny, why
don’t you take a sandwich?” Tiny could not say no to the
teacher. So she picked up one sandwich and bit into it. “Oh,”
said Tiny. “This is very nice.” She liked it. Since that day, Tiny
has liked tomatoes.
