GOALS

17
Goals
of SDGs

Sustainable Development Goals is a development that maintains a sustainable

improvement in the economic welfare of the community, social life, the quality of the
environment and ensures justice and the implementation if governance that able to
maintain the improvement of the quality of life from one generation to the next
generation. The SDGs are a national and global commitment to improve social welfare
that includes 17 goals namely

GOAL 1 - NO POVERTY
poverty is one of the social problems that often occurs in almost all
countries. Poverty is caused by unemployment, social exclusion, and high
vulnerability of certain populations to disasters, diseases and other
phenomena which prevent them from being productive.

GOAL 2 - ZERO HUNGER

The global issue of hunger and food insecurity has shown an alarming
increase since 2015, a trend exacerbated by a combination of factors
including the pandemic, conflict, climate change, and deepening
inequalities. Extreme hunger and malnutrition remains a barrier to
sustainable development and creates a trap from which people cannot
easily escape

GOAL 3 - GOOD HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

Make it another contemporary look by applying marble backsplashes. Pair
them with wooden kitchen cabinets in a solid color or stainless steel hood.
They make your cooking space modern instantly.
GOAL 4 - QUALITY EDUCATION
Education is the key that will allow many other Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs) to be achieved. When people are able to get quality education they can
break from the cycle of poverty. Education helps to reduce inequalities and to reach
gender equality. It also empowers people everywhere to live more healthy and
sustainable lives. Education is also crucial to fostering tolerance between people and
contributes to more peaceful societies.

GOAL 5- GENDER EQUALITY

Gender equality is a fundamental human, foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and
sustainable worldGender inequality persists everywhere and stagnates social
progress. All these areas of inequality have been exacerbated by the COVID-19
pandemic: there has been a surge in reports of sexual violence, women have taken on
more care work due to school closures, and 70% of health and social workers globally
are women.

GOAL 6 - CLEAN WATER AND SANITARY

Access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene is the most basic human need for
health and well-being. Billions of people will lack access to these basic services in
2030 unless progress quadruples. Access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene is
the most basic human need for health and well-being. Billions of people will lack
access to these basic services in 2030 unless progress quadruples.

GOAL 7 - AFFORDABLE AND CLEAN ENERGY

This goal is key to the development of agriculture, business, communications,
education, healthcare and transportation. A well-established energy system
supports all sectors: from businesses, medicine and education to agriculture,
infrastructure, communications and high technology.Access to electricity in
poorer countries has begun to accelerate, energy efficiency continues to
improve, and renewable energy is making impressive gains

GOAL 8 - DECENT WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH

8th goal is about promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth,
employment and decent work for all. Decent work means opportunities for
everyone to get work that is productive and delivers a fair income, security in
the workplace and social protection for families, better prospects for personal
development and social integration.

GOAL 9 - INDUSTRY, INNOVATION, AND INFRASTRUCTURE

This goal seeks to build resilient infrastructure, promote sustainable
industrialization and foster innovation. Economic growth, social
development and climate action are heavily dependent on investments in
infrastructure, sustainable industrial development and technological
progress.
GOAL 10 - REDUCED INEQUALITIES
Inequality threatens long-term social and economic development, harms poverty
reduction and destroys people’s sense of fulfillment and self-worth. It based on
income, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, race class, ethnicity, religion and
opportunity continue to persist across the world.

GOAL 11 - SUSTAINABLE CITIES AND COMMUNITIES

This goal is about making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilent and
sustainable. Sustainable development cannot be achieved without significantly
transforming the way urban spaces are built and managed. We can take an active
interest in the governance and management of our city to help achieve this goal.

GOAL 12 - RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTION

About ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns, which is key to
sustain the livelihoods of current and future generations. We need to change our
consumption habits, and shifting our energy supplies to more sustainable ones are
one of the main changes we must make if we are going to reduce our
consumption levels.

GOAL 13 -CLIMATE ACTION

Climate change is caused by human activities and threatens life on earth as we
know it. With rising greenhouse gas emissions, climate change is occurring at
rates much faster than anticipated. Its impacts can be devastating and include
extreme and changing weather patterns and rising sea levels. Climate change is
disrupting national economies and affecting lives and livelihoods, especially for
the most vulnerable

GOAL 14 - LIFE BELOW WATER

About conserving and sustainably using the oceans, seas and marine
resources, healthy oceans and seas are essential to human existence and life
on Earth. In 2021, marine pollution is reaching extreme levels over 17 million
metric tons clogging in the oceans, plastic is the most harmful type of ocean
pollution. Marine fisheries provide 57 million jobs globally and provide the
primary source of protein to over 50% of the population in least developed
countries

GOAL 15 - LIFE ON LAND

15th goal is about conserving life on land, earth’s ecosystems are vital for
sustaining human life, they contribute to over half pf global GDP and
encompass diverse cultural, spiritual, and economic values. We can help
include recycling, eating a locally based diet and consuming only that we
need also we must be respectful toward wildlife and only take part in
ecotourism opportunities that are responsibly and ethically run in order to
prevent wildlife disturbance.
GOAL 16 - PEACE, JUSTICE AND STRONG INSTITUTIONS
16th goal is about promoting peaceful and inclusive societies, providing acces to
justice for all and building effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all
levels. To achieve peace, governments, civil society and communities need work
together to find lasting solutions to conflict and insecurity, strengthening the rule of
law and promoting human rights

GOAL 17 - PARTNERSHIPS FOR THE GOALS

Goal 17 is about revitalizing the global partnership for sustainable development. The
Sustainable Development Goals can only be realized with a strong commitment to
global partnership and cooperation to ensure no one is left behind in our journey to
development. However, not all countries are setting off from the same start line, and
low and middle income countries are facing a tidal wave of debt which they are
treading water.

Clean Water and Sanitary

Clean water has become a global problem, until the
emergence of an agreement commitment in the
seventh point of the international agreement called
the MDG's (Millennium Development Goal's) 2015,
which was agreed in September 2000. One of the
areas that has experienced clean water problems is
Malang Regency. Clean water needs are the most
important thing in life, if the flow of clean water is
disrupted, a number of community activities will be
hampered.

Water and sanitation crises can occur due to water

pollution caused by pesticides as well as industrial waste
around settlements, inefficient agricultural systems caused
by leaking irrigation systems, overpopulation, and drought.
One of the impacts of the clean water crisis is the
destruction of ecosystems. When a water crisis occurs,
humans lose plants that are a source of oxygen and deaths
in wildlife and pets as well as ecological disasters that
cause food shortages and a poor quality of life.

The district head's effort to address this was to inaugurate

the Communal Wastewater Treatment Plant of the regular
community-based sanitation program. In addition, the
affected areas received water supply from Perumda Tugu
Tirta and the Malang City Police Traffic Unit in collaboration
with the Malang City Environment Office and the Malang
City Government. As a youth, we must also strive to prevent
the clean water crisis from happening. The efforts we can
make are by not throwing garbage in waterways and rivers,
reforesting, and saving water.
