I. OBJECTIVE
At the end of 3 hours, you should be able to:
1. Identify the nutritional requirements across all ages (pregnancy, lactation, infancy, childhood,
adolescent, adult and elderly)
2. Modify the normal diet to meet the needs of each life stage
3. Describe and discuss the different nutrition related disorder of each life stage.
III. EVALUATION
For each case presented:
1. Compute for desirable body weight and total requirement.
2. Calculate and plan a diet providing meals and 2 snacks. Indicate answers in Table 9.1
3. Prepare assigned sample menu plan for class presentation: Group 5: Breakfast meal
