Environmental Health & Safety Policy

It is M&K Recovery Groups policy to promote and maintain environmentally responsible practices for the benefit of our customers, employees and communities in which we operate. We will conduct and grow our business in a manner that protects the environment and demonstrates good stewardship of our worlds natural resources. M & K processes materials in accordance with R2 Hierarchy Guidelines for Responsible Management Strategies that include the Reuse, Recovery, Dispose philosophy. Through our extensive pre-screening, inspection and testing program, we are able to evaluate all products in order to generate the best asset recovery value and proper re-use of those products or materials. Our objective is to have all whole equipment and functional components re-used for their intended, manufactured purpose. The process involves testing and refurbishing units, or de-manufacturing units for component reuse. All non-functional components are disassembled--non-ferrous and ferrous metals, precious metals, plastics, leaded-glass, and batteries are re-used through recycling processes. We extend these recycling philosophies into shipping and packing materials such as boxes, foam, pallets, and shrink-wrap. Any item that can be recycled or reused from our facility is recycled. The company strives for continual improvement through the development of specific programs that provide a framework which not only ensure the health and safety for our employees and neighbors, but also addresses the environmental cost and impact of our activities and services.
