TASK PERFORMANCE

Instructions:
1. By the end of Week 12, you must be able to find a partner, and you will be tasked to compose a
chapter review of the El Filibusterismo that shows your opinion and analysis of the novel to its
prequel, as well as the impact of both novels to the study of Philippine Independence. The paper
shall have the following parts:
I. Title Page
II. 200-word (maximum) Abstract of the Entire Chapter Review
III. Analysis
a. Chapter Title
i. Characters Involved
ii. 200-word (minimum) Chapter Summary
iii. Implied Topic Covered in this Chapter
b. Interpretation of Your Junior High School Teacher for this Chapter
c. 200-word (minimum) Personal Reflection
d. Comparison with Noli Me Tangere
i. The Intended Messages of Both Novels
ii. Differences between the Two Novels
IV. References (in APA format)
2. The paper must answer and discuss the following questions:
a. How does El FIlibusterismo impact our current society?
b. Is the novel too radical for the national hero? Why or why not?
c. Do you believe that radicalism can bring change to the country? Why or why not?
d. Did Jose Rizal really change his thoughts about his purpose for change in the Philippine
society? Why or why not?
3. The paper must NOT have any bullets. It must also cite all the sources used to support or concretize
your answers. Online sources such as Wiki sites, Quora, Reddit, Yahoo Answers, blog posts, and
other similar sites are NOT allowed. Make sure also that you're not sharing your chosen chapter with
another group, else your task performance will be graded with zero (0).

This chapter review entails one (1) of the chapters in El Filibusterismo and its profound effect on the
Philippine society in general. This chapter review covers the instance of a Physics class gone wrong because
of the overindulgence of a priest writing records of his students, and the priest's supposed bias over his
