Food Tracking Assignment

In order to eat healthier one must understand what you intake and analyze and
differentiate that to the food guidelines established for us. Over the progression of three
consecutive days, I have been requested to trace my meals and snacks so that I might better
comprehend what precisely I am eating and if I am obeying the Canadian Food Guides
recommendations. In accordance with the guidelines installed by Health Canada, I have been
drinking water every day accompanying every meal that I eat, however, throughout the day I do
not drink as much water as I should be. In this, I should aspire to improve on because the
shortage of water causes me to have headaches almost every day, and the food guide suggests
that we should intake around eight glasses per day. When examining my intake of fruits and
vegetables, I hardly think that I eat as much as I should. The Canadian Food Guide counsels that
in a person’s meal half their plate should be fruits and vegetables. In regards to my meals that I
eat per day, I would state that I unquestionably do not heed that criterion and so to follow the
guidelines I will have to consolidate more fruits and vegetables to my meals, conceivably doing
so with incorporating them into meals as snacks or combining them to the meal itself.
Concerning my protein consumption, I would suppose that I possibly do not eat as many proteins
as I should, or I do not consume the wholesomer version of proteins. The Canadian Food Guide
states that for a salutary meal a quarter of your plate should be proteins, though, the food guide
showcases images of proteins that are considerably more salubrious than what I am currently
absorbing. To remedy this, I should examine the acclaimed healthfuller substitutes on the guide
and consolidate them or formulate new meals. When looking at my carbohydrate consumption I
acknowledge that I do fortuitously eat whole-grain bread, which is remarkably healthier for you,
so I do feel that I am a touch healthier in that field. I additionally feel that I do approximately
intake a quarter of carbohydrates in my meal, likewise to what the Canadian Food Guide advises.
To improve this domain of my intake I could possibly, obtain carbohydrates in whole-grain and
consume those alternatively to the regular versions. To conclude, I feel that through this
assignment I have earned a more comprehensive understanding of my consumption and what I
can enhance upon to make my intake a considerably more salubrious one that what I previously
possessed, as well as, a consumption that accompanies the guidelines established in the Canadian
Food Guide.
