1.) Jenny's dad carves the turkey. He places 2 drumsticks, 2 wings, 11 slices of white
meat and 8 slices of dark meat on a platter. How many pieces of turkey are on
the platter?

2.) Jenny's mom wants to make a lot of mashed potatoes since it is a favorite dish.
She takes 15 potatoes out of the bag and places them in a pot of boiling water.
But then she decides that is not enough and places 11 more into the water. How
many potatoes does she use?

3.) Jenny and her dad make the Thanksgiving centerpiece for the dining room table.
Jenny wants to make a turkey with lots of feathers. Jenny makes 23 feathers and
her dad makes 33 feathers. How many feathers does the turkey have?

4.) Jenny bakes some chocolate chip cookies for dessert. She makes three batches.
The first batch has 16 cookies. The second batch has 14 cookies and the third
batch has 15 cookies. Jenny throws out 6 burnt cookies. How many chocolate
chip cookies does Jenny end up with?
